China could care less about it’s climate commitments. It continues to build coal power plants while the US closes ours down.

China has no plans to actually make good on their environmental commitments. While we weaken ourselves to save the planet, they are not. Biden is out celebrating the destruction of our coal plants as we commit economic suicide. Energy needed to supply the much celebrated E.V. market and keeping our energy grid up and running.

The amount of capacity permitted in China in 2022 more than quadrupled from 23 GW in 2021. Of the projects permitted in 2022, 60 GW were not under construction in January 2023, but are likely to start construction soon, indicating even more construction starts in 2023.

Note the slow down during the Trump years.
