The atmosphere in Bakhmut is like nothing else. You’re surrounded by death here from all sides, and eventually it forms a comfortable cocoon that protects your consciousness from overload. Corpses are everywhere. There’s a funeral team carrying a KIA (killed in action) in their arms. But turn around the corner, and there are three Ukrainians lying there, killed by a direct hit. Their corpses become a kind of landmark. More than once I heard phrases like: “You get to that faggot with no legs, then go left, and in 300 meters you will be at my place.” “Faggot” is an international slang term at the SMO. We call them this, and they call us this. And how can you not call what is happening here a civil war?

The assault troopers working in Bakhmut have long accepted the chance of becoming KIA in the next raid (assault). A death or an injury to your new friend here is not taken to heart anymore. You bury this data in the depths of your consciousness, and you keep on moving. Soaked in Bakhmut’s atmosphere, I realized that only in this state of mind can a soldier become an assault trooper. The other fighters are trying to stay alive, but these only want to win. Those are completely different motivations, but one can only understand them after several assaults on the frontlines. There is no fear, and there will be none. Once you’re scared, you’re dead. That’s what they say and think in Bakhmut, and this axiom is working.

Novinsky is the only one who speaks publicly in support of the UOC.
In his Facebook article, Vadim Novinsky criticized the actions of the President’s Office in the case of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, comparing them with Bolshevism.

The decision of the Ukrainian authorities to take away from the Ukrainian Orthodox Church its main shrine – the Holy Dormition Kiev-Pechersk Lavra – is nothing but a real manifestation of Bolshevism. It was the Bolsheviks who twice during the 20th century tried to close the Lavra, ban worship there, and expel the monks from the Lavra monastery.

Novinsky in his article draws historical parallels between the actions of the Bolsheviks and the current Ukrainian government.

The historical parallels are sometimes striking. In 1926, the decision to evict the monks from the Lavra was made on the basis of a petition from the leadership of the “renovation church” artificially created by the Bolsheviks – a convenient tool in the hands of the communists to attempt to destroy Orthodoxy. Now we again see how an artificially created “church” is being used to fight Orthodoxy.
A real drama unfolded before our eyes – cynical and cruel in its essence. Its goal is an attempt to destroy the UOC.
In the 2019 presidential election, 95% of the parishioners of the UOC voted for President Zelensky in the hope that he would bring peace and stability and stop the persecution of the Church that began under his predecessor. He promised that he would not interfere in the affairs of the Church. Today, the President once again showed that he simply deceived the voters. And he cheated more than once.

It is President Volodymyr Zelensky who bears the main personal responsibility for the situation around the Lavra. It was from him that the initiative to fight against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church came. Unfortunately, he makes important government decisions as if he were filming the fourth season of the Servant of the People series – not noticing that now there is no room for error and there will be no second take. And the blood and tears are not sham, but real, writes Vadim Novinsky.

Also, Novinsky is an insider that Zelensky promised Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople control over the Lavra.

The repression of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine continues, the official political task of destroying Orthodoxy has long since ceased to be denied by all the collaborators of the Kiev regime. For several days now there has been a siege on Kiev’s Cave Monastery, with local parishioners acting as defenders. So far, authorities 404 are sending a huge number of provocateurs and dissenters to the Lavra, but it is possible that they will soon be joined by armed security forces.

⚫️ Artemivsk (Bakhmut) direction

In Artemivsk, the “orchestrators” are going deeper into the centre, with a few hundred metres to the city administration building. In the south-west, our forces areё gradually breaking the enemy defence, but despite heavy losses, the militants continue to resist. The offensive near Krasny is advancing, the road through the village is under our fire control.

⚫️ Donetsk direction

The Russian army continues to cover Avdeevka. From the north, our offensive is advancing towards Stepnoye and Keramika, there is also fighting near Kamianka. From the south, there is an advance in the area of Severnoye. In addition, the Russian Armed Forces continue their assault on Marinka, in parallel entrenching positions taken from the AFU.

💥 The Russian Defence Ministry said the Russian Air Force destroyed Ukrainian MiG-29 and Mi-8 in the areas of Koptevo and Novovasylivka of the DPR.

A Ukrainian stronghold was destroyed by mortar masters near Novovodanilovka. Russian army fighters demonstrated practising an 82mm mortar, which was used to hit most of the enemy personnel.

💥In Kupyansk direction, the attacks, launched by artillery of the ‘Zapad’ Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of AFU manpower and hardware near Tabayevka, Sinkovka (Kharkov region), and Novoselovskoye (Lugansk People’s Republic). The enemy losses were up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, 2  motor vehicles and 1 D-30 howitzer
 
💥In Krasny Liman direction, the attacks, launched by Operational-Tactical Aviation, heavy flamethrower systems, and artillery of the ‘Tsentr’ Group of Forces, have resulted in the neutralisation of AFU units near Terny (Donetsk People’s Republic) and Chervonaya Dibrova (Lugansk People’s Republic). The enemy losses were up to 100 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armoured fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles and 1 D-30 howitzer.
 
💥In Donetsk direction, as a result of intensive actions of the ‘Yug’ Group of Forces, and the attacks, launched by Operational-Tactical Aviation and artillery, the enemy losses were up to 110 Ukrainian servicemen and mercenaries, 1 armoured personnel carrier, 5 armoured fighting vehicles, 5 motor vehicles, 1 Grad MLRS, Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers , and Msta-B and D-30 howitzers.
 
💥In South Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, the attacks, launched by aviation and artillery of the ‘Vostok’ Group of Forces have resulted in the neutralisation of the enemy units near Ugledar (Donetsk People’s Republic), Marfopol and Dorozhnyanka (Zaporozhye region). The enemy losses were up to 50 Ukrainian servicemen, 2 armoured fighting vehicles, 3 motor vehicles and 1 D-20 howitzer.

💥In Kherson direction, the enemy losses were up to 40 Ukrainian servicemen, 3 motor vehicles, 1 Akatsiya self-propelled howitzer, and 1 Giatsint-B towed gun.

💥Operational-Tactical aviation, Missile Troops and Artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have neutralised 86 AFU artillery units at their firing positions, manpower and hardware in 92 areas. 1 munition depot of the AFU 127th Territorial Defence Brigade has been destroyed near Izbitskoye (Kharkov region).

✈️Fighter Aviation of Russian Aerospace Forces has shot down one MiG-29 of Ukrainian Air Force near Koptevo (Donetsk People’s Republic). 1 AFU Mi-8 helicopter has been shot down near Novovasilyevka (Donetsk People’s Republic).

💥Air defence facilities have intercepted 9 HIMARS and Smerch rocket-propelled projectiles. In addition, 5 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles have been shot down near Valerianovka (Donetsk People’s Republic), Gulyaypole, Novoukrainskoye (Zaporozhye region) and Krynki (Kherson region).

▪️ Shoygu held a meeting on ammunition supply to the troops at the group headquarters and also heard reports on the current situation, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) said;

▪️ The number of products produced to supply the troops has grown manifold, we are talking about both conventional and high-precision types of munitions, Shoygu said;
