This morning, the RF Armed Forces, jointly with units of the Federal Border Guard Service of Russia and other units of the Russian Federal Security Service, have foiled a new attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack against the civilian population of Shebekino (Belgorod region).

At around 3:00 a.m. Moscow time, after intense shelling of civilian facilities in Belgorod region, Ukrainian terrorist groups with up to two motorised infantry companies reinforced with tanks attempted to invade Russian territory near Novaya Tavolzhanka and the Shebekino international road checkpoint.

Three attacks by Ukrainian terrorist formations were repelled by the selfless actions of Russian servicemen. Helicopters of the Western Military District carried out eleven strikes on the enemy. Rocket and artillery forces carried out 77 firing missions, and two heavy flamethrowers launched two strikes.

As a result of active operations by the border troops of the Western Military District and the Russian Federal Security Service, the terrorist units of the Kiev regime, which suffered significant losses, were driven back.

There was no violation of the State border.

More than 30 Ukrainian terrorists, four armoured fighting vehicles, one Grad MLRS vehicle, and one pick-up truck were neutralised in the border area on the Ukrainian side.

💥 In Kupyansk direction, aviation and artillery of the Zapad Group of Forces inflicted fire damage on the AFU units close to Timkovka and Berestovoye (Kharkov region), and Stelmakhovka (LPR).

◽️ In addition, actions of 3 SRGs of the AFU were thwarted near Sinkovka and Kislovka (Kharkov region) and Rozovka (LPR).

💥 During the day, up to 45 troops, 3 motor vehicles, 1 Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, and 1 D-20 howitzer have been neutralised.

💥 In Krasny Liman direction, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, artillery, and heavy flamethrower systems of the Tsentr Group of Forces engaged the AFU units close to Karmazinovka, Chervonaya Dibrova (LPR), and Grigorovka (DPR).

 Ukrainian formations attempted to penetrate the territory of the Belgorod region in several places, but were stopped by border guards and units of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Germany Tells Zelensky NATO Can’t Consider Ukrainian Membership Now

Ukraine cannot join NATO while it remains locked in a conflict with Russia, German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has said. Last month, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also expressed skepticism about Kiev’s admission into the US-led military bloc.

Speaking ahead of a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Norwegian capital Oslo on Thursday, Baerbock claimed that the bloc’s doors remain open for potential new members.

German Chancellor Scholz said last month that Kiev’s potential NATO membership “doesn’t stand on the agenda anytime soon.” He cited a “whole range of requirements belonging to NATO’s criteria that Ukraine can’t fulfill at present.”
