In general, today’s adventure cost the enemy much more than he expected: the expectation of surprise did not materialize, the formations designed for “maneuver warfare” got bogged down and suffered predictably high losses.
However, this was not the main blow, and the enemy will certainly try to repeat the breakthrough attempt in the very near future

During the battles on the Zaporozhye Front, the enemy suffered significant losses and is moving back

The enemy is again attacking the Shebekinsky district – which means the constant raids of the vyrus on the Belgorod region

Attacks by enemy DRGs and constant shelling of border settlements cannot but cause a strong reaction among the Russians. But this is the main sacred meaning of these suicidal attacks. A handful of vyruses, even reinforced by a couple of dozen Polish mercenaries, will not be able to influence the course of the SMO in any way, in which hundreds of thousands of military personnel from each side collided.

For Kiev, the reaction of the Russians to such raids and shelling is much more important than real military success. The enemy is doing everything possible so that the RF Armed Forces pull the troops to Belgorod.

The Belgorod-Kharkov agglomeration was formed back in Soviet times. Even after the collapse of the USSR, the connection between the regions did not weaken. Cities “grew” towards each other, and if almost no one lives in the Bryansk or Kursk regions along the border, then in the Belgorod region, within walking distance from Ukraine, there are several towns and villages at once.

This is a vulnerable target, and the enemy will constantly attack it.

And it is extremely difficult to resist this. It is possible to track down a DRG of 15-20 people moving through the forests to the same Novaya Tavolzhanka, but for this, you need to allocate multiple times larger resources.
The border of the Shebekinsky district alone with Ukraine is ~70 km long. For comparison, these are two lengths of the line of contact in the Avdeevka area or approximately 2/3 of the length of the front line in the Zaporozhye direction.

It is possible to close the border so that “the mouse does not slip through”, but this requires huge human and material resources. And all this so that a couple of dozen vyruses could not be photographed at the post office building.

There is only one way out of this situation – the liberation of Kharkov, but it will be problematic to start it before the Russian army repels the enemy counteroffensive.

But you need to work at least with the symptoms until a full-fledged “treatment” is not available. It is necessary to arm the TRO units and form our DRGs operating against the enemy frontier. This game can be played with two people.

🔹 For the past few days, after the rotation of fighters from the 150th Division of the RF Armed Forces to Akhmat units, there has been an active assault on the stronghold of the Ukrainian 79th Air Assault Forces’ Separate Air Assault Brigade in #Maryinka.

🔹1. During the day, the enemy made active attempts to conduct combat reconnaissance in a number of areas in the #Zaporozhye and #SouthDonetsk directions, engaging a large number of armoured vehicles. The main attacks took place near #Gulyaypole, at the #Vremyevsky ledge, and in the #Ugledar and #Avdeyevka areas.

🔹2. The enemy initially managed to achieve small tactical successes in the area of the #Vremyevsky ledge, including the occupation of two small villages on the border of the grey zone, but after the losses suffered (more than 20 tanks and AFVs), the enemy was forced to withdraw, even despite the introduction of their reserves into battle.
📌In most other areas the enemy had no success. The ratio of losses during the day was not in favour of the AFU.

🔹3. Nevertheless, there is a concentration and regrouping of enemy forces to continue the offensive activity of the AFU near #Vremyevsky ledge, #Ugledar and #Vodyanoye.
📌 It is likely that tomorrow there will be attempt #2.
➖ It is possible that this activity is designed to distract our command from the #Kamenskoye – #Orekhov – #Gulyaypole sections, where an attack may probably be launched to reach #Tokmak and subsequent movement to #Melitopol together with auxiliary landing troops across the #Dnieper.

🔹4. At #Artyomovsk as a whole, there is no change. There is local enemy activity in the private sector to the southwest of the city, as well as to the northwest.
➖ The RF Armed Forces are covering enemy concentrations in #Slavyansk, #Kramatorsk, #Konstantinovka and Chasov Yar.
➖ Tomorrow the rotation of our grouping in #Artyomovsk will be completed.

🔹5. In the #Belgorod Direction, the enemy today continued to actively shell the border areas, and also continued attempts to break through SRGs into our territory. These actions are primarily aimed at solving information tasks, as well as distracting attention from the main sections of the front. Among the hopes of the enemy command is to provoke the RF Armed Forces to transfer additional forces here from the main directions. For this purpose they are trying to stir up panic as much as possible.
📌 Nevertheless, the situation requires the command to take more decisive measures to shift combat operations to the northern districts of the #Kharkov and #Sumy regions in order to make it more difficult for the enemy to implement its tactics.
