Are Jews Still the chosen people?

Does there remains sufficient evidence to argue that the Jews are still God’s chosen people? An opinion left by Ed, a frequent commenter here, noted that he believed so.
As I am no strong proponent of Zionism, I wondered: Really? Could He not have made a better choice? For in the Hebrew nation, we have a people (generally) who have managed to piss off nearly everyone in the entire world — including me, a Christian.
So I started to do some research and came across this title: Are the Jewish People Still the Chosen People? I don’t know who wrote the article, but I found it on a “free messianic bible site.” I’ll credit the editorial staff for their work.
After citing Deuteronomy, the article states, “The Jewish people are often called the Chosen People, a term that has caused many to accuse God of favoritism, and the Jews of being smug elites who think that God prefers them over all other nations and peoples.”
That just about sums it up for me, too. Is there anything more likely to result in insufferable arrogance than being God’s favorite? It’s enough to prompt this question: What am I? Chopped liver?
The argument seems similar to that going on between two cowboys. One claiming that he’s a Texan by being born there — and the other admitting that yes, he came down from Missouri, but he’s a Texan by choice, not by circumstances of birth, over which he had no control.
I am a child of God because I profess a belief in God, and of his son, whom I have accepted as my savior, and in His promise of everlasting life. Does God love Abraham more than me? I think this is rather doubtful. Heavenly fathers may be more proud of one son than another, but he loves them equally.
Still, I don’t think my heavenly father appreciates smugness in anyone, much less his ”chosen” folk. And especially chosen folk who cannot even obey simple rules of behavior.
The article asserts that all nations will be blessed through Israel. Well, okay. We’re still waiting for that shoe to drop, but I have no bona fides in this area so that I won’t argue. But was God favoring one nation among all others, or was He communicating his love for the entire world through Abraham? Perhaps initially. He shares his passion for the world through His Son, Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah.
Chosen people? Perhaps — but it is no longer up to Israel to blaze the path to salvation and oneness with God. It is up to each one of us to find the light. And given the mess that Jews have made over past centuries, that’s probably a good thing.
Now, I’ll await my friend Ed’s wrath, but with a smile. I’m a chosen person, too.

From the time of Moses yes, the people of Israel, that means the descendants of Jacob, since he was sur-named ‘Israel’ by God, were the chosen people. This is when Moses wrote the Pentateuque (aka the Torah) under divine revelations and inspirations, and it is when Moses, under God’s instruction instituted the priesthood, with Aaron, with his brother as the first priest. God communicated His intentions through a priest who stood inside the Holy of holies, which was hidden from the common people. It is the priesthood only which held Israel together until the coming of Christ.
There had been a deterioration within the casts of the priests, and particularly since the captivity in Babylon. More on that later.

The Jews are no longer the chosen people. As part of their curse, they turned towards the devil as a replacement from their loss and, have adopted the rabbinical tradition of the Talmud since the captivity in Babylon. The Talmud is pure Luciferin doctrine issued from the murderer and father of all lies, Satan. The Jews, who had become the ‘wandering Jews’ had to rely on their rabbis as the cement of their perfidious culture, A rabbi is NOT a priest. A rabbi is the equivalent to a catechism instructor. The “Jews” through perfidious an shady politicking have managed to re-built a Temple for the third time. It is not due to the hand of God, but the result of intrigues. The Third Temple is currently rebuilt, but does not have priests yet. The incoming priests will be issued from inter-generational satanic priests since the time of Babylon.

SECOND COMMENT: I hope to have typed a sufficiently clear picture of the gravity of the world situation in the comment above. The world is been hoodwinked, and it is tragic. The Jews (who claim to be Jews, but who are not) represent a mortal danger to the world; to humanity -the finest of God’s creation and alas a danger of the quasi-certain loss of countless souls. Let’s consider that the Christian world is currently been crucified and is suffering an agony.
I see a parallel between the Crucifixion when Jesus was been mocked by the Pharisees and the priests. They shook their heads and said: “If you are truly the Son of God, get down from that cross and we will believe”. They were tempting the Lord at that moment, in the same way that Satan had a long time before tempted Jesus in the Desert of Temptation after taking Him to a high tower of the Temple, and had asked Him to jump. Satan tempted the Lord and Savior, because Jesus, the Son of God had not taken flesh in order to stun the masses with prodigies, but to show how the feeble man was to re-act in the face of a challenge. Jesus simply used the word of God, and the devil went away (for a while).

… Our Lord only spoke, or performed miracles when it was matters concerning His Father in Heaven, such as to Caiaphas, to Ponce Pilate when He said: “Yes! I am the Son of God” or “You said it, I am a king”, but otherwise, He taught; He healed and He forgave. This is what us Christian must do in the face of those serpents. We must not enter into their game; we must forgive their perfidy, because they truly don’t know what they are doing at serving Satan, but also we must continue claiming the eternal glory of Jesus the Lord, the King of kings.
We must also never remain quiet at exposing the perfidies; the murders and the lies of the demoted ‘chosen ones’. They will be treated with severity according to the levels of their own ignominies, but for all of us Christians, remaining quiet now, as the doing the sin of quietism in saying “God will take us out from that pickle, or will descend us from the Cross; God will save us, even if we do nothing” is tempting the Lord. We must warn with all our own might that the ‘Jews’ are dragging the gullible world into the pit, with themselves included.
