Parents of Alleged J6 Pipe Bomber Say the Government Is Framing Their Son (Tucker Carlson Video)

In this 18 September 2026 published video, host Tucker Carlson talks Brian Cole Sr. and his wife. During a preview, Cole’s mother stated that the FBI arrested the wrong person. Carlson claimed the timing of Cole’s arrest was suspicious, alleging it followed claims by investigative journalist Steve Baker that a federal employee planted the devices. 

Cole’s parents state that their son, who has autism and had no prior criminal record, is innocent. Media commentators supporting the family have questioned the timing of his late-2025 arrest, pointing to alternative theories suggesting a federal employee may have been involved. Brian Cole Jr. was arrested in December 2025 and formally charged in January 2026 with the interstate transportation of explosives and malicious attempts to use explosives. Federal investigators state that they tracked Cole using credit card records for bomb components, cellphone tower data placing him near the sites, surveillance footage, and license plate reader data. According to DOJ prosecutors, Cole also confessed after his arrest, stating he targeted both the RNC and DNC headquarters because both parties were “in charge”. 

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro defended the prosecution, stating that Cole crossed state lines and targeted political leadership from both major parties. Federal authorities maintain that the FBI and the U.S. Attorney’s office worked extensively to secure appropriate charges against Cole for placing the devices near the Democratic and Republican National Committee headquarters on January 5, 2021.

The family’s public push coincides with ongoing courtroom arguments where Cole’s defense attorney is seeking to have the charges dismissed, arguing that Donald Trump’s presidential pardons covering January 6 offenses apply to his case.
