Gear Preview: Primal Gear’s Compact Folding Survival Bow

I hate keeping you all in the dark, but I know you have noticed we have mentioned archery quite often within the last month. Though there is something awesome in the works, we still want to share good information when we come across it. What good would we be to our readers if we didn’t give you all the best of the best?

We came across Primal Gear Unlimited and we wanted to give you a preview of their product, the Compact Folding Survival Bow. This bow seems to be a very interesting concept as it folds into a neat and compact carry package. I appreciate that it comes in two draw weights, 50 and 55 pound. It appears to be easy to assemble and easy to change out the string in a hurry. Here is some information from Primal Gear’s website:

Compact Folding Survival Bow. CFSB-1 one piece takedown bow. The only folding bow on the market designed with survival in mind. Perfect for throwing behind the seat of the truck or a bug out bag. The long bow that folds down into a 23 inch short riser.

The patent pending CFSB-1 folding bow, also known as the go primal bow, can be converted from Right hand to left hand, arrow speeds from 155 to 165 feet per second. 40 lbs draw at 26 inches, 45 at 27 and 50 lbs at 28 inches.The riser for the compact takedown folding survival bow is milled from T-6 6061 aircraft grade aluminum with a built in arrow shelf, and the limbs are made from fiberglass developed specifically for bow limbs. The limbs can be removed to convert bow from right to left hand, replace limbs, or interchange with different draw weight limbs.Fold the limbs into the side of the handle for transport and it forms its own compact and durable carrying case. It is 23 inches long x 1.5 x 1.5 inches when closed and opened is a total 59″ in length.

This traditional bow is a long bow, but it is anything but traditional. The folding bow design, with its aluminum riser and fiberglass bow limbs is built to survive the apocalypse, put food on the table, and defend you when you need a silent and powerful self defense weapon, and it is a must have for a prepper who wants to maximize their space. Weighing in at 2.25 lbs., it is lightweight and can be carried in or strapped to just about any pack or bug out bag. This collapsible bow is convenient for hunters who want to carry a compact back up weapon to the field.  If you are looking for a hunting bow, a take-down bow, or a survival bow this is the collapsible bow for you. The Same great bow as the CFSB-1 60 lb but with 50 lb limbs.
