Texas has just experienced a major snowstorm that has taken down its power grid. What happened and can we expect more infrastructure problems in the future?

I’m in the west Houston area and just went thru 3 days of no power, no water and now a boil order. I have been watching preppers on YouTube for 4 months and the info I learned and things I bought like water and food months ago helped us make it through!! It was in the teens and 20′s out side, but we kept warm with the stove top and terracotta pots and candles. I had flashlights and matches because I learned from city prepper, Canadian prepper and providence preppers. My kids thought I was crazy, but now they see (understand ).

Our government and media has become a ridiculous joke.. It’s so sad.

Essentially, when Ercot says 4 million are without power they mean 4 million accounts, not people. On average there are 3 people living in a home. Figure 12 million are suffering without power as of Thursday/Friday. 💯
