I .am willing to consider a flat earth but I have some questions. How do you account for the sun going down on one part of the world while coming up in another, wouldn’t it be day time all over and night time all over? Satellites in space? We know they are we have seen them with telescopes. Meteors that have hit earth from space? Why do other planets appear to be spheres but we aren’t? if you can answer these questions

A four or five hundred watt generator is too big for emergencies. You only nee a small generator for essential circuits, 2500 watts will do what you need and use 50% less fuel. I have a small generator (2350 Watts) wired with a transfer switch for four circuits. It does the job but no air conditioning. You can use only one circuit at a time if necessary and the generator will run 6-8 hours on one gallon of gas. If you back up 20 gal of gas with some stabil, you could run for 150 to 200 hours.
