I think we need to stop pretending that the United States is the innocent good guy in all of this. I agree with the premise in Nate’s previous video that war is often considered a boost to the economy of a country. That might be a key part of the puzzle as to what is going on. But let’s face it, the US & Europe are on the verge of financial collapse, and a WW (or an escalation of the current one) might be seen as a timely fix by our warlord leaders… while Russia is actually doing pretty well economically right now. This Ukraine war has already been a boon for the weapons manufacturers – and they don’t really care about how much of it is being destroyed by Russia. I think they might just fire up the war & worry about the mobilisation later – look how fast they managed to get the pandemic lockdowns & travel restrictions in place – and accepted by the majority of people. Ok, so there will be some hardship in the meantime – but that is going to happen anyway. And the government doesn’t really care about us, as long as they can hold onto their privilege.
