My grandmother told me when I was little. I am 66 now. You will not go hungry if you have flour, eggs,sugar, lard or bacon grease, baking soda and baking powder. She made egg noodles, biscuits, pancakes, muffins, bread. She had chickens and a huge garden. She canned in the summer for winter. Lesson learned.
I think we need to stop pretending that the United States is the innocent good guy in all of this. I agree with the premise in Nate’s previous video that war is often considered a boost to the economy of a country. That might be a key part of the puzzle as to what is going on. But let’s face it, the US & Europe are on the verge of financial collapse, and a WW (or an escalation of the current one) might be seen as a timely fix by our warlord leaders… while Russia is actually doing pretty well economically right now. This Ukraine war has already been a boon for the weapons manufacturers – and they don’t really care about how much of it is being destroyed by Russia. I think they might just fire up the war & worry about the mobilisation later – look how fast they managed to get the pandemic lockdowns & travel restrictions in place – and accepted by the majority of people. Ok, so there will be some hardship in the meantime – but that is going to happen anyway. And the government doesn’t really care about us, as long as they can hold onto their privilege.
