Shalom Travis & blessings to your family and yourself. Thank you so much for your reasonable and balanced approach to all that is happening. The fact is we are in YHWH’S care, prepare as best we can and keep fighting the good fight on our knees.

I’m tired of prepping, canning, farming, etc. and I’m tired of being so vigilant. It sucks to be in a constant state of anxiety. Especially when I look around and see everyone else living totally care free. I’m just worn out with all this stuff. It’s never enough and I have no control, no power. I just keep prepping and learning a bunch of skills that I have no interest in and hope I never have to do again. I can’t even remember what it is I’m trying to survive for…especially if we’re not going to win in the end and get back to normal. I’m starting to have trouble answering the question of “what’s the use?”. But there’s nothing new to this. I feel this way a couple times a month and I keep getting up and working. I don’t even like my life that much and yet here I am working my body and mind to exhaustion so that I can keep living this insignificant, mediocre, generally miserable, and powerless life. What’s the point? I’m not having fun anymore and haven’t had fun for about 6 years now. Everyone and everything just kinda sucks now.

A lot of these benchmarks of supposed significant events may also be contrived to lead to prepper fatigue and burnout when dates pass with nothing huge happening; and to create more discrediting of those who believe something wicked our way comes. Those are things people need to guard against, lest one becomes so worn down there’s no resolve left for when something unexpected suddenly occurs. This is death by a thousand cuts. Instead of focusing on specific dates of doom, focus on bolstering your tenacity. No alarm or fear necessary – smart prepping breeds confidence.
