Virtual Tourist Wanted for First Virtual Tour of Alcatraz Offered Exclusively by an Internet San Francisco Company

“Wanted die-hard Alcatraz fans” – that is what signs on billboards, Internet pop-ups, and newspaper ads are saying. It appears as if these mysterious signs and ads have appeared almost overnight and no one is really sure what has caused this, but an investigative journalist who is studying at a local community college is making it their goal to find out.

“I saw this Alcatraz ad just last week”, said Johnny Pincher, a journalist. “I brushed it off at first, but now it appears as if it is everywhere. That was when I decided to investigate and see what this was all about.”

It appears as if a small, private Internet San Francisco company has decided to launch one of the world’s first virtual tours of the well-known Alcatraz. There are several tours that will be available to people, including a traditional one, prisoner POV, and ghost hunters’ version.

“It appears as if the ads are trying to recruit a group of beta testers for a virtual tour of Alcatraz”, explained Pincher. “It is unsure why they just started to pop up now, but it looks as if they are trying to recruit the most die-hard fans of the place or those that are curious about what might be inside.”

There is very little information released about the virtual tours and what they would include. It appears as if a private Internet San Francisco company has come in and video taped the entire area. There are backup recordings that walk the people through their tours.

“We do not offer a self-tour at the moment”, said a statement from the Internet San Francisco company. “Right now, we just offer several versions of the tour. We hope to expand in the future and even offer these tours to people beyond the beta testing.”

The beta testing for this type of virtual tour will include people rating the overall experience, the visual effects, and if there was anything missing. The beta tours will also be looking for any bugs that might be present or to see if something can be enhanced or expanded.

“I think this is a totally awesome idea”, said die-hard ghost hunter, Hunter Valley. “I have long wanted to see what ghosts and ghouls are in this place. However, tours are extremely limited and I always miss out. Now, I can see it first hand and I don’t even have to leave my home. I will be there.”
