Landmark Cinemas Introduces First All Premium Recliner Seating Theatre in Canada

CALGARY, ALBERTA (MMD Newswire) June 17, 2015 — Landmark Cinemas Canada announces it is converting its London, Ontario location to premium powered recliner seating in all eight auditoriums. Installation of the new seating is scheduled to be complete by July 10, 2015. Other parts of the theatre will also be renovated over the coming months to complement the new seating.

It was critical for us to find an offering that would provide a premium movie going experience without the premium price. The all recliner model is one we feel will resonate with our guests and provide a compelling reason to attend the movies more frequently”.

In a recent survey, seating comfort was listed as the number one priority for an enjoyable movie experience. “I could not have been more pleased with this information because I can confidently say, the London recliner is the most comfortable movie theatre seat I have ever experienced,” says Bill Walker, Landmark Cinemas Canada’s Chief Operating Officer.

In conjunction with the installation of premium powered recliner seating, Landmark Cinemas 8 London will reduce its seating capacity by approximately 60%. This reduction creates a significant increase in personal space, providing a more relaxing, disruption free movie going experience. Reserved Seating will also be part of the premium offering in London, all for an adult general admission price of just $10.99.

Landmark Cinemas 8 London, located at 983 Wellington Road South remains open during the renovation period, and looks forward to welcoming guests to this new movie-going experience over the coming weeks.
