Whiskas UK Enrolls British Actress Julia Farino For ‘Kitten Kollege’

Los Angeles, CA – Hailing from Surrey in England, British, actress Julia Farino ( www.juliafarino.com ) has been enrolled by Whiskas UK to be the lead female spokesperson in their highly anticipated digital commercial campaign “Kitten Kollege”, created by AMV BBDO and featuring content developed by the hugely popular comedy site, College Humor.

As students head back to college this Autumn, Mars-owned cat food brand Whiskas has dived into the season, with the British actress at the helm, in a series of hilarious comedy videos all set at “Kitten Kollege”, where prospective cat owners can be entertained while being educated in what to expect when introducing a new kitten into the family.

Julia, who filmed the spots in her newly adopted home of Los Angeles, appears in several of the videos including; Best Breeds For Families, Kittens and Drinking and How To Choose The Right Kitten.

“Like most people in the UK, I have been watching Whiskas adverts since I was a child.” explained Julia. “I never expected to move to Los Angeles and then be cast in a whole comedy series of mini films for the brand. It has been an amazing experience, and definitely one to add to the list!”

Over her last 25 years of acting, leading lady Julia Farino has appeared in a huge range of British and American advertising campaigns including; Tesco, Sky TV, Silvikrin Hairspray, Hewlett Packard, Dell and more recently with singer-songwriter Robbie Williams in the 2014/2015 European Volkswagen campaign.

Aside from her impressive commercial work, Julia has worked in a plethora of stage productions, including numerous high profile musicals in London’s West End, TV shows and international films, with stars as diverse as Sir John Gielgud and Sir Elton John, Ioan Gruffudd, Fred Willard and Brian Cox OBE. She has successfully released her own jazz album, ‘Don’t Talk To Me of Love’, and has performed at the prestigious Dorchester Hotel, The Savoy Hotel and The 606 Jazz Club in London.

Earlier this year, Julia appeared at the California Theatre in San Bernardino, in the stage adaptation of ‘Calendar Girls’ as Chris, played by Helen Mirren in the original 2003 movie, and can currently be seen on the US film festival circuit in her leading role as Mrs Erlynne in a feature film version of Oscar Wilde’s critically acclaimed ‘Lady Windermere’s Fan’. The witty, costume drama is set to have its V.O.D and digital platform release early 2016.
