Annual Department of Energy's Small Business Forum Returns to Atlanta, GA in May 2016

DOE2016 focused on increasing opportunities for small businesses within the agency

Washington, DC (MMD Newswire) December 1, 2015 — The Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the largest civilian contracting agency within the Federal government will be holding the 15th Annual DOE Small Business Forum & Expo from May 23-25, 2016 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis in Atlanta, Georgia. The event draws nearly 800 attendees to meet with; DOE’s site and facility management contractors, which includes 17 National Laboratories; other small business concerns as well as other Federal agencies.

The forum will host more than 45 distinguished panelists and speakers within DOE and the small business community including the Federal OSDBU Directors panel, the DOE National Laboratories and Site Office panel and a special DOE Headquarter Program Offices panel with representatives from the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Office of Environmental Management, Office of Nuclear Energy and Office of Science. DOE2016 will also feature a large Exhibit Hall, as well as business matchmaking sessions for small business owners to discuss their products and services to DOE Federal and prime contractor representatives.. The agency will hold an awards presentation to honor the Fiscal Year 2015 Secretarial Small Business Award recipients.
