Gilda L. Sherwin, MD, to be Published in the Leading Physicians of the World as New Member of the International Association of HealthCare Professionals

The International Association of HealthCare Professionals is pleased to welcome Gilda L. Sherwin, MD, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Sherwin is an experienced psychiatrist with special expertise in adult psychiatry, including men’s and women’s mental issues, race issues, work inhibition and creativity problems. She has been in practice for more than twenty-nine years and currently serves patients at her private practice in New York City, New York. Her clinical interests range from mood disorders, to anxiety and depression. Dr. Sherwin also teaches at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine as a volunteer faculty member for fourth year psychiatry residents.

Dr. Sherwin earned her medical degree in 1979 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. She pursued her internship at New York Psychoanalytic Institute and her residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Sherwin attained certification in psychiatry with the American Board of Psychiatry and is a member of the New York Psychoanalytic Society. She credits her success to knowledge and availability. Furthermore, she is recognized for her humanitarianism by working with politically tortured survivors.
