Meals Like Mom Moves to New Location, Now Hosts Groups and Private Parties

Meals Like Mom has moved to a new location inside Stucky’s Bar and Grille in Johnsburg, Illinois. Previously operating in a commercial kitchen in McHenry, the move enables Meals Like Mom to expand services to include private banquets and special events hosted in their private dining room.

Owner Chef Debi Stuckwisch offers personal chef services in her client’s homes ranging from weekly meal service and special diets to cooking classes and catering.  Growing in popularity are requests for private parties and events, which is what prompted the move to a location that can accommodate groups up to 50 people.

“As our client base and reputation has grown, we have had more requests to host private parties and larger groups at a location outside the home. Our partnership with Stucky’s Bar and Grille gives us both the space needed for groups and convenient access to the professional cooking equipment necessary to provide excellent food service,” Chef Debi stated.

Chef Debi’s passion for cooking started in her childhood learning from her mother and grandmother.  After spending a number of years in the corporate sector as a business manager, Chef Debi chose to follow her heart and her love of cooking by combining her passion and her career. She earned a culinary degree and became a certified personal chef.

Meals Like Mom was opened out of Chef Debi’s desire to touch people one-on-one as she enriches their lives with her culinary skills. Chef Debi customizes all menus, shops only for the finest and freshest available ingredients and even occasionally picks up a gallon of milk if a client can’t make it to the market that day. Chef Debi prepares all meals in a licensed commercial kitchen, giving her clients the peace of mind to know that their food has been prepared in a sanitary environment, by a highly trained, certified and insured Chef. With her new capability to host private groups and parties, Chef Debi will be able to bring her passion for cooking to an even wider range of clients.
