Expert Pediatric Neuroradiologist Tushar Chandra, MD, to be Recognized as a 2016 Top Doctor in Orlando, Florida

Tushar Chandra, MD, pediatric neuroradiologist at Nemours Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Radiology at University of Central Florida, has been named a 2016 Top Doctor in Pediatric Neuroradiology. Dr. Tushar Chandra is a very experienced pediatric neuroradiologist, with an international reputation. His medical career began in 1999 in his native India, when he graduated from the University of Rajasthan. He remained in India completing an internship at RNT Medical College and a residency at Saurashtra University, before moving to Singapore to do a fellowship in Neuroradiology at the prestigious National Neuroscience Instituite.  Dr. Chandra then moved to United States and completed fellowships at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Board certified by the American Board of Radiology, Dr. Chandra is renowned as a specialist in the use of neuroradiological diagnosis for children. This means that he uses techniques such as computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging, MRI, to diagnose abnormalities and conditions relating to the head, neck, spine and nervous system. His special contribution has been as a pioneer in functional MRI and pre-surgical brain mapping in children, a technique which allows for mapping of vital areas of brain to facilitate safer neurosurgery in children with brain tumors, vascular malformations and in cases of epilepsy.
