Papal Prophecy of St. Malachy Says There Will be Just One More Pope After Benedict – The Black Pope

Pope Benedict XVI announced Monday morning that he would be stepping down as the head of the Catholic Church, making him the first Pope to step down rather than die in the position in more than 600 years. A new pope will be selected by the end of March. There will undoubtedly be much speculation about who will take over the reigns of the Catholic Church, but one thing that we can look to for some guidance about who might be the the next pope are the infamous papal prophecies of St. Malachy. St. Malachy, the first Irish saint, had a vision of the next 112 popes. We’ve had 111 since, and are on the verge of seeing No. 112, which Malachy says will be the final pope before the end of the world as we know it.
In 1139, Malachy was Archibishop and traveled to Rome from ireland to give an account of his affairs. While in Rome, Malachy received a vision about the future which included the name of every pope, 112 in total, from his time until the end of time. We currently are at the end of the second to last prophecy, with Benedict XVI at the helm.
St. Malachy had written about the 112th pope:

“In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”

St. Malachy prophesized that the final pope would be “Peter the Roman”, which is interesting because no pope to date has chosen the name of Peter out of respect for Peter the Apostle. There has also been speculation that the final pope would be black. Even more curiously, there is a black cardinal in Ghana, Peter Turkson, who is believed to be a frontrunner and whose name has come up in previous discussions of papal appointment.
Cardinal Turkson has said in the past that “if God would wish to see a black man also as pope, thanks be to God.” Catholic Church chronicler Rocco Palmo has called Turkson the lone Scripture scholar in the Pope’s “Senate”, and believes that his status as a potential “papabile” has been elevated due to his 2009 appointment as spokesman for the Second Synod for Africa.
Outside of the Church, there are also many who believe that Turkson is the favorite to take over as pontiff. Even the London bookmakers believe he’s the top choice. Odds comparison site lists Turkson at best price odds of 4/1, and as short as 2/1 with some firms. Francis Arinze, the Nigerian Cardinal, is also a huge favorite with the bookies.
There are some who insist that Malachy did not say that the last pope he mentioned would be the 112th pope, insisting that he was merely the last, and theorizing that there could be more popes to come between Benedict and “Peter the Roman”. However, this is not a belief that everyone subscribes to and many believe that “Peter the Roman” will be both the 112th and last pope of the Catholic Church.
Malachy’s prophecies are taken very seriously as they’ve been uncannily accurate to date. Will the Catholic Church get its first black pope? Will “Peter the Roman” lead us into the End Times? These questions are set to be answered by Easter, which comes this year at the end of March, when the papal conclave announces their decision.
Pope Benedict XVI announced his decision to step down due to health concerns just days ahead of the start of the Lenten season. He is due to step down officially on February 28. The announcement surprised even his inner circle, who were said to be unaware that he was planning to step down.
The College of Cardinals is charged with electing the new pope, who according to Pope John Paul II’s apostolic constitution, must be cardinals under the age of 80. Pope Benedict XVI established current procedures, which were amended by a motu proprio dated June 11, 2007. A two-third majority vote is required to elect the new pope.

Cardinal Peter Turkson: 5 Facts About the Potential First Black Pope
As Pope Benedict XVI said on Monday that he would resign on Feb. 28, citing poor health, speculation is already mounting about his potential replacement. And Cardinal Peter Turkson, the current president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, is rumored to be a potential option. Here are five facts about the Vatican’s first potential black pope:
1. The First Black Pope:
Turkson has said that “if God would wish to see a black man also as pope, thanks be to God.” The Catholic Church chronicler Rocco Palmo called Turkson the lone Scripture scholar in the Pope’s “Senate” and believes that his status as a potential “papabile” has been elevated due to his appointment as spokesman for Second Synod for Africa in 2009.

“”In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End.”"

There is nothing in there to suggest the next Pope will be black. The criteria is Roman, the name is irrelevant because they give themselves different names.

There is no persecution of them, the complete opposite in fact. They have always been the ones doing the persecuting. From their beginnings in the 4th century right up to today they continue to lie, rob people of the truth, rape children, tell the uneducated that condoms will give you AIDS, steal, cheat, and launder organised crime money. Only a tad better from a few decades ago when they were kidnapping native children, selling them into the sex slave industry, torturing them, murdering them by the tens of thousands. Or the centuries before that where they would accuse you of heresy, imprison you, confiscate your property and wealth, torture you till you confessed to being evil and then publicly executed you by burning you alive.

So what persecution is it talking about?

The Catholic church is so wealthy with it’s dragon like hoards of golden baubles and its enormous property empire, it could end global poverty and suffering overnight. At the moment about 10’000 innocent kids starve to death everyday. What are they doing about TODAYS problems.

You don’t know much about Biblical Prophecy do you? If you study the 7 year Tribulation period of Daniel and Revelation, there will be “converted” Christians (yes, even Catholics) who cling to the saving hope of Christ, even though they had not before the “rapture”. There are those who do not accept a pre-Trib rapture, and say the true church will go through the Tribulation. I don’t personally believe that, but it’s beside the point…

Regardless, there will be many, many Christians of both Catholic and non-Catholic persuasion who get persecuted and killed during the Tribulation. The is mentioned in Revelation twice:

And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little while, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled. Revelation 6:11

And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, Who are these who are arrayed in white robes? and from where did they come? And I said unto him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are they who came out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Revelation 7: 13,14

So yes, there WILL be “many tribulations” for those who believe… and if this next Pope is around to see it, or is a part of it…the prophecy of Malachy makes perfect sense!

Seems to me the guy was gently forced out to be replaced by one more suitable to this terrible time.

Pix nailed it: The Catholic Church/Jesuits here in Montana give drugs and alcohol to our Natives going to when they first arrived. Their goal was to destroy the Amer-Indian families and have their children placed under their care so they could be raped.
And now everyone wonders why we have so many Chi-mos and Rapos here? (Today’s victim is tomorrow’s suspect)

Just look at the bookies odds!

Pip’s right about Peter the Roman having no mention of anything people ever specifically associated with a black Pope. People thought that that was what Gloria Olivae – John Paul II’s successor would be.

Benedict XVI, the present Pope, whose description is given at the top of this page (“Gloria Olivae” – The Glory of the Olive), is listed as the penultimate Pope. References to this Pope being a’black Pope’ also inspired much speculation on the internet that an African Cardinal would have been chosen, but other speculation centred on the medieval interpretation of ‘black’ as a signifier of spiritual darkness.

Sorry I meant Pix is right.

where does it say the next pope will be black?

    • desert owl

It’s not St Malachi that talked about a black Pope. A prophecy of Nostradamus talks about a black Pope, which doesn’t have to mean skin color being black.

This will be interesting to watch play out … the script is already written … it’s just that some star roles have not been chosen yet …

This is NOT speaking of a “black” man as pope..he is saying the “black” pope, Francis, is the “false profit” spoken in Revelation. If you read the bible you will see in Revelation the “false profit” “comes from a land which sits on seven hills” and that land is Rome!
