Jesus Christ himself did not give the Holy Spirit to his disciples. God had another plan!
Jesus Christ opened the mind of his disciples to understand the Holy Scriptures only after his resurrection (Luke 24:45). But even then he did not give them the Holy Spirit. Though he gave the duty to take care of his sheep to Peter, he did not place his hands on the disciples’ heads to fill them with the Holy Spirit.
Was the Son of God incapable of giving his disciples the Holy Spirit? No, he declared that all authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to him. Did he not like his disciples to receive the Holy Spirit? No, it was his will that they must be strengthened by the Holy Spirit. Can anyone say that God the Father would not have listened to his prayer if he had interceded for the disciples that they be filled with the Holy Spirit? No, he is the only Mediator between man and God and he himself has testified that God always listens to his prayers (Jn. 11:41).
If the Holy Spirit is to come to a person, certain conditions must be fulfilled. An important one among them is that the person who has the Holy Spirit must lay his hand on the person who is to receive the Spirit. The Word of God testifies that without the laying of hands the Spirit cannot be given. But we do not see anywhere in the Gospels that Jesus Christ placed his hands on the disciples to give them the Holy Spirit.
Why did Jesus Christ not give the Holy Spirit to his disciples by laying his hands on them?
One hundred and twenty disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit ten days after the ascension of Jesus Christ. It is true that God sent the Holy Spirit to this world through Jesus Christ (Tit. 3:6). But at that time he was at the right side of God the Father.
Who then laid hands on the disciples of Jesus Christ who gathered in the upper room in Mark’s house so that they receive the Holy Spirit? Who among those present in the House of Mark had been filled with the Holy Spirit before the disciples received the Spirit?
Sirach 39:16-17 – All the works of the Lord are very good, and whatever he commands will be done at the appointed time. No one can say, ‘What is this?’ or ‘Why is that?’– for at the appointed time all such questions will be answered…
Why did God decide to give the Holy Spirit to the people of God in this manner?
Behold, the time has come when the Divine mysteries are revealed!

No GOD did not give Holy Spirit in the form of Guardians. Holy spirit is a person in/of GOD like the Son of GOD(Emmanuel(JC). Am not talking about any magical books or fictional stories.
