Viral: August Headlines already published!

- The wall of fire in Washington State

- The polar vortex that wiped out almost 100% of the Northern states’ August grape harvest

All throughout this summer, the National Dream Center has organized a paradigm-changing initiative called, Project August, and the results thus far look extremely encouraging.

The goal of the project is to determine how well the collective can dream the future, but with a twist. Instead of looking backwards on August, comparing dreams to headlines, the National Dream Center actually produced headlines before the target month of August. The headlines are based on two overlapping approaches: 1) the DreamBot and 2) dream interpretation.

The DreamBot is a computer algorithm that scurries around the web looking for dreams and then conducts linguistics analysis on that material—this is an offshoot of the previous Webbot project or more accurately, George Ure and Grady’s Nostracodus program (Nostracodeus.com). While their program scurries headlines and blogs, our DreamBot only goes after peoples’ dreams.

So far, the project has netted a 30+% rate of success, and that is before the target month even starts (August 2014).

Throughout this project, all the dreamers did a heavy set of intentions before going to sleep. They intended to dream about a big headline in August. Then, no matter what they dreamed, they added it to the database.

Some people assume that since these predictions came early (i.e., before August), that the project was a failure. However, those in the metaphysical world know just how difficult it is to time these predictions, and the fact that many of them came early is incredibly exciting because it provides many data points for future predictions.

Back to August 2014

The Proj Aug reports have been published several times throughout the summer, but they remained private in order to prevent contaminating the collective unconscious (and thus the collective dreams).

However, the last report was made public because of the growing concerns about several of the projected headlines. Will they come true? Well, for some of them, we hope not.

One final note: Report #5 is but a drop in the bucket as far as the overall number of projected headlines. The rest of the headlines will be compiled into one large spreadsheet before August begins, and those will come directly out of the previous four reports.
