PAUL TELLS US WHAT IT WAS LIKE WRITING UNDER INSPIRATION - HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED THIS REMARKABLE SCRIPTURE?

PAUL TELLS US WHAT IT WAS LIKE WRITING UNDER INSPIRATION – HAVE YOU EVER NOTICED THIS REMARKABLE SCRIPTURE?

In 1 Corinthians 2: 9-16 Paul tells what it was like when he wrote scripture. Let’s look at it a section at a time.

(1) REVELATION –  VS. 9-12

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

“But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.”

COMMENT You cannot know what another person is thinking unless they tell you. You cannot see into their spirit. In the same way, we cannot know what God is thinking unless he tells us. God’s thoughts are different from our thoughts, in fact, they are so different that they will never enter your mind unless He reveals them to you through the Holy Spirit. You can “meditate” till kindom come and they will never enter your mind unless God reveals them to you. Paul is telling us here that the truths he wrote came by the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

(2) – INSPIRATION V. 13

“These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

COMMENT When these truths were revealed to Paul he didn’t just write them down willy-nilly. The choich of the words he used was directed by the Holy Spirit. “Comparing spiritual things with spiritual” means the the Holy Spirit used Paul’s vocabulary and style but he guided Paul in picking the right words to go with the spiritual truths revealed.

(3) - ILLUMINATION VS. 14-16

“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.”

COMMENT The natural man does not have the abilty to understand these truths that were written down by these holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The same Holy Spirit who revealed them, and guided the very words used to communicate them, must open your understanding so you can receive them. He must illuminate them to you.

A man walking in the Spirit of God’s word is an astonishment to the world; the world cannot understand him. The world cannot take in God’s revealed words.

WHAT I AM GOING TO SAY NEXT GIVES ME CHILL BUMPS

The text says “but we have the mind of Christ”. Can you grasp this? Do you realize how profound this is?

As you pray and read God’s word you will suddenly see something. Something will open up to you from the Bible. People, that is Jesus Himself thinking through your mind. The thoughts of the Lord Himself are going through your mind. Oh, how I wish I had the ability to communicate to you how glorious this is, that Jesus is present and actually thinking through you mind. Folks, if this doesn’t ring your bell, your clapper is broke!!!

This statement below can be found in similar words in the gospel of Thomas
      which proceeds Paul.
      Great words regardless.

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Is Paul distinguishing “heart of man” with “heart of a son or a daughter of God ?”

A son or daughter of God can receive into their hearts whatever God by His Spirit wants
to have in there, seems to me.

      “Great words regardless.”_retracted.
Cognitive Dissonance is a common result from adding Paul’s words to Y’shua’s _ the One Teacher.

“Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” ( Paul’s words )

So, those who follow Y’shua are to be filled with the Holy Spirit as we love Him with
      our Heart, Soul, Mind, Strength.
Filled ( including our heart ) with the Holy Spirit of the Father and the Son, who has in Himself all that which He has prepared for those who love Him.

Then there are the many who use the phrase “ask Jesus into your hearts”.

But, Paul’s words say that although a believer can have God Almighty in their hearts,
that which God has prepared for that believer hasn’t entered.

Except the Turkish trader and Pharisee political party member Saul/Paul, didn’t write any of it. It all carbon dates to the 6th century CE and all works attributed to him describes 6th century CE Christ-I-Anti.

That’s like saying he didn’t print any of today’s Bibles.

His writings actually date to between 40′s – 60′s AD and contain within it earlier Christian views that he drew on. The earliest Christology (views on the nature and person of Jesus) is the ‘highest’ Christology.

      Well said Mike….

But Don’t get frustrated! Just accept that God chooses us, so if people are Blinded it is because He has not chosen them…..Only those chosen will receive understanding and are willing to listen…..They will know The Truth when they hear it! ….. God confuses and Blinds those that he has already rejected….

I was amazed by this when speaking with groups of people where some totally rejected, whilst others were awakened and wanted to know more……The Truth resonates with what is already inside their spirit…They just needed the Spark which ignites the Fire within….These are The Chosen Ones!!

More good stuff Mike. I am reminded by this article that as believers, we should seek less of ourselves and more of Him. And it truly is profound that as believers, we have the mind of Christ. Too many so-called teachers of the Word put too much emphasis on I heard this from God or that from God. While I believe God does work that way at times, I believe the higher calling is for us becoming so infused with the Spirit that we become one with God, meaning we gain access to the mind of Christ which in short, enables us to be transformed into the image of Christ. When preparing food for the sheep, every effort should be made to remove anything that emanates from the flesh so that all that remains are words purely distilled from the Holy Spirit.

You know what? This article reminded me of something I heard/read about. It’s a theory: We live in God’s brain. You know how awesome/weird that would be? This is a serious theory I’ve been considering. I mean think about it, he’s always here no matter what, he says he is in us and we are in him. He can communicate with us within a second- whenever. And we can always talk with him. He knows everything about us- what were thinking, everything. It actually makes sense. Also, theres actual evidence that the universe grows like a brain and it’s looks just like our brains neurons. I know it’s sounds weird but I think it’s cool to think. If you wanna learn more heres an article:
