“His Excellency, Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel”, shouted speaker Boenher introducing him to the joint session of Congress.  What well may be the most controversial speech ever given in a joint meeting of Congress, one thing would become well known. This was a speech that the Prime minister felt obligated to give. He

acknowledged all that America had done in the past for Israel, but also that President Barack Obama had done; “many things” he said which you do not know, and “some” things you will never know, but “I know” the Prime Minister said strongly, “Of what President Barack Obama has done for Israel”!

Lest people would get the wrong idea; Benjamin Netayanhu said that “He regretted people had construed this speech as a political move, saying ‘it was not my purpose’”!  The purpose for the speech was the profound obligation as he put it, to “cover Iran’s quest for Nuclear weapons”.

Netanyahu spoke that Iran used the Oldest hatred of Israel with newest technology of man and illustrated this by speaking of the Ayatollah who tweets of Israel’s destruction. Meanwhile he quoted a hamas chief who said “If all jews gather in Israel it saves us time to chase them down to kill them”

There were many interruptions of applause and standing ovations.  Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke to a full room and shouts of support and applause were warm and showed the obvious support for Israel. There are few places in the world where such a man, the Prime Minister of Israel can stand, speaking his heart, being a jew, an Israelite, and a leader of Israel without being opposed. But clearly Netanyahu wanted to assure he was not there to be a political tool against Obama, but he was there to warn of Iran and the bad deal the Obama administration was pushing. He openly called it a bad deal, but made sure to say “this is a bad deal”, referring to the Iran-US negotiations going on. He left out the Presidents name and any reference to it in the speech. But he made clear, this was a bad deal.

Netanyahu said of the current deal:

1. It would not stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons
2. It would leave Iran with a vast nuclear infrastructure
3. Not a single facility would be destroyed
4. It would ensure that Iran would have a breakout period to develop the bomb within a year.
5. It would further allow Iran to develop 190,000 centrifuges
6. It would allow that fuel for Iran’s nuclear arsenal to be developed within months
7. It would not deal with Irans ICBM’s which would carry the weapon to any part of the earth/ or America.

All restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program will expire in a decade, so in the end, Iran could get the bomb anyway by following the program. The deal is not a farewell to arms, it is a Farewell to arms control. The point here on restrictions is that with this agreement all restrictions will be lifted in a decade and would leave Iran then to develop the bomb. But he urged to have a good deal by not lifting restrictions until Iran:

• Stop its aggression against its neighbors in Middle East
• Stop supporting terrorism around world
• Stop threatening to annihilate Israel, the only democratic nation in the Middle East

The point here he made was simple and made sense; “If Iran wants to be treated like a normal country, let it act like a normal country”! He urged that Iran needed the deal more than the US did, so let them walk away if they threaten, because they will be back. Netanyahu is on record saying that the deal ongoing between the US and Iran is a “very bad deal, we are better off without it” and the alternative to a bad deal is as Netanyahu reminded the Congress “is a much better deal”!

He reminded the house it would not be easy, but he quoted Robert frost saying “the Difficult path is most often the one least traveled”!

He closed the speech by pointing out that in the congressional sessional, on the wall facing the podium was a plague on Moses, whom he quoted by saying “be strong and resolute, neither fear nor dread them”!

Benjamin Netanyahu reminded the sitting Congress that ISIS and Iran “were competing for prize of world Islamic domination”.  It was a Deadly game of thrones played by both ISIS and Iran, but here he said bluntly “the enemy of your enemy, is your enemy”! There is no doubt that many in that room will oppose any deal with Iran. The problem with this administration is they seem bent on a deal at any cost. The bad deal will be costly for Israel, but even more costly for America. To say that Iran is the friend of America is not true! Now while, the culture of the Persian people are historic and powerful, the regime today is one pushing for a worldwide Mahdi to come and an empire of Islam.  It has again and again threatened Israel, and even America. To ignore the true threat of this nation and her nuclear ambitions is foolishness. To push for a deal, especially one that won’t limit Iran, is trouble.

The deal is bad, the idea is bad, and a nuclear Iran is a threat to everyone! Once they get the bomb, they will use it! While peace maybe on their lip, War is in their heart!
