Skin pigmentation is the result of adaptation to the environment. The less pigmentation, the more efficient your skin is for absorbing vitamin D. It’s a fairly recent adaptation in modern humans to living in areas that receives little sun shine. Our bodies adapt rapidly to such changes even within our own experience, the more sun you get, the more pigmentation accumulates in your skin.
We know from our DNA that it mutates at a fairly steady rate, so we can calculate when it took place, which is c15’000 years ago. Europeans have the least amount of pigment, because when they left Africa they followed the melting ice sheets north. The also met and bred with Neanderthal man, who had perfected living in extreme cold conditions, which is probably where the lack of pigmentation originates. All Europeans share tiny fragments of Neanderthal DNA. Neanderthals were otherwise not as agile in mental and physical abilities as modern humans, their skeletons show they were slow, lived and hunted in forests and used short stabbing spears, while modern humans lived and hunted in open ground using speed and long distance spear throwing. Modern humans were more adaptable to the changing conditions at the beginning of the current interglacial period c15’000 years ago. So pretty much replaced Neanderthal man.
There were other varieties of Neanderthal man, one lived/evolved on the Tibetan plateau, they evolved an ability to thrive in an environment with a lot less oxygen.

According to the bible we are ALL the descendants of Cain. Abel had no offspring. And the biblical deity killed Abel by making Cain jealous of Abel’s quick easy blood offering over his own year long effort and hard slog, into producing an agricultural offering.
