the 7 years comes from Leviticus 26: 1 – 39. In Verses 14 – 39 God explains exactly how Israel will be brought to repentance.
Over 4 periods of 7 years each God punishes Israel for transgressing the Torah and the last period, the 4th, God states “I will walk contrary to you in FURY” — and the nations of Israel will be destroyed and then those that are still alive are taken into captivity.
The Day of the LORD is a one year time — in prophecy a year is as a day.

Russia doesn’t need to invade Turkey, because Turkey is falling apart all on it’s own. I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t have a civil war in the very near future. But Israel needs stopping it’s terrorism in the middle east for sure, stealing Syria’s oil from the Golan Heights, Syria, and constantly grabbing more and more of Palestine and murdering Palestinian civilians in a population that has an average age of just 17, meaning most of the population are very young children.
