The Wrath of God. Who is it Against, Can We Avoid it?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

For the great day of their wrath has come  Revelation 6:17

This scripture from Revelations indicates the “Day of the Lord” or the “Day of God’s Wrath” which
is also the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation.  The word “wrath” here is the Greek word orge
which means anger.  If we look at some of the other scriptures that use the same word, then we
can understand the wrath of God better and why it will happen.

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of
men, who suppress the truth by their wickedness.  Romans 1:18

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against
yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed  Romans 2:5

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person…has any inheritance in the
kingdom of Christ and of God.  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such
things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.   Ephesians 5:6

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.  John 3:36

From these scriptures we see that God’s wrath will come upon those that are disobedient.  Those
who do not repent of their wicked ways are already under judgment.  They will not enter heaven
unless they repent and ask Jesus to forgive their sins and start to obey God.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s
wrath through him.   Romans 5:8-9

This is the key.  God made a way for us to come out from under his wrath by sending his Son to
die for us.  By asking Jesus to forgive our sins we are no longer under God’s wrath.

For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.  1 Thessalonians 5:9

…and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead—Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.  1 Thessalonians 1:10

These scriptures show us clearly that believers are not under the wrath of God.  Jesus will
rescue us from God’s wrath.  How will he do that?  By rapturing the church at the beginning of the
Tribulation because we were not appointed to suffer God’s wrath.

The Bible says that the Tribulation will be a time of testing to see who will serve God and who will
not.  Believers have already made their choice, they don’t need to be tested any further.   This is
why God’s wrath does not pretain to believers.

Those who say that the rapture will happen part way through the Tribulation or at the end of the
Tribulation and that believers will have to live through it, deny these scriptures which clearly say that
believers will not suffer the wrath of God.

If you have never done this before, Here is how you can come out from under God’s Wrath.

Every nation that has broken covenant with God has been judged. The judgments are severe. During the Great Tribulation, 21 nightmarish judgments will fall on the earth. This will center on Israel and the Middle East, but it will affect the whole world. Like the T-shirt said, “It only takes one thermonuclear detonation to spoil your whole day”.

God always sends a way of escape before judgment falls. God has sent warnings or harbingers of judgment. Evangelist Jonathan Cahn has written about this. Here is a short list:

      1. The whole 9-11 disaster
      2. Wildfires with whole counties burning to ashes
      3. Drought in the west, floods in the east
      4. Flooding in places that have never flooded before
      5. Out of place hurricanes like Sandy
      6. Economic distress where young people can’t find jobs
      7. Manufacturing activities, companies, and jobs moving to China and the BRICs countries
      8. Viruses, plagues, diseases that can’t be cured
      9. Endless wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya causing unpayable debt
      10. Riots by so called “open minded liberals” who hate Donald Trump and his right to run for office.
      11. Terrorism and terror…see Lev. 26:16. ” I will even appoint terror over you…”

The hardest judgment of all is what has happened with the government, for example, the incompetent, loud-mouthed, clueless, and corrupt candidates running for high office (’nuff said)… Why can’t a country with 330 million people in it produce better candidates?

Also, it is wrong for the Supreme Court to pass laws. Their decisions are so far removed from the actual writings of the constitution that it amounts to passing their own laws. This is strange, since the constitution says that congress gets to pass the laws. Remember that history tells us that the strange laws that corrupted Sodom & Gomorrah were passed by corrupt judges.

The presidents (both Dems & Republicans) abusing their executive order authority to pass laws…once again, only congress passes the laws. The president’s executive action powers are limited to the military and foreign policy (with advice & consent of the senate)

The root of all these problems is that the warnings are ignored because people have the idea that Almighty God is an old bearded man in his dotage gently rocking away on a rocker on his front porch, saying, “There, there, boys will be boys, and the girls will be girls”….

They don’t take the warnings seriously, because few people these days believe that God actually has moral standards and is the final judge of men and nations. They don’t believe in a God who judges sin. God hasn’t changed. The only thing greater than the love of God is the holiness of God. He does not tolerate sin indefinitely. He does give space to repent.

Whenever a severe warning or judgment takes place, people will pray and go to church, but the root behavior never changes. Superficial repentance = no repentance AT ALL….

A harbinger warning took place in Canada this year. A whole city burned. The people got out, but the city burned. See Matt 22: 1-7….This is how God judges whole cities that reject His Son and His kind offer of Salvation. I’m sure that there were Christians in Ft. McMurray. Don’t mock, it can happen to your city and your house, too.

Sooner or later, the economy will collapse. This will be due to hyper-inflation (as in Weimar Germany) or through a 70% stock market drop. People may finally notice that God is judging the nations if it costs them some of their precious money. I am speculating a major reset (collapse) this Sept. 17th…. We’ll see.

…the entire body of Christ fully expects to be crucified over all these morality issues.

        • maxwell

…Human destiny is a spiritual existence…We ALL shed our physical bodies…That means we ALL die. Its a test of faith…probably the most poignant and important test of all. I think that point is being ignored by most. Especially those who believe in a separate rapture of the saints…
…Nobody gets out of here in physical form. We each have a moment of reckoning…an ‘eyeopening’ taste of the reality of our Spiritual being…Our real identity….At death.
…have hope that you are prepared for it….

      New Testament is very clear.

Rev. 13:8 All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast

      Hebrews 4:9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

Hebrews 4:4 For in a certain place he spoke of the seventh day
thus: And God rested the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again: If they shall enter into my rest.

Took me all my life to figure it out. Seems I could not understand
the Bible until I started following what God commands.

Rev. 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those
who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

God wrote His Ten Commandments with His finger, twice on stone.
      It was written in stone.

      Who’s commandments do we follow?

How many commandments do we follow? 8 or 9 or 10.

Wish someone would send me a copy of the commandments we follow?
