The New York Post also reported that Trump’s aides even staged an intervention:

But in the face of many attacks, Trump has repeatedly said that he intends to keep tweeting — he claims that it’s the best way for him to speak directly to the American people, cutting through the “fake news” to make sure his voice is heard.
