Jesus’ Prophecy of His Second Coming by Lorber

Greetings Lovers of Truth!

This message is easily one of THE most important of my long history of cross-posting messages since before the Internet on Bulletin Board Systems (BBS).  Please pay close attention!  This message is about the conditions on Earth and the plans of God just before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

I have to tell you exactly how I came upon this information.  Many years ago I bought a series of six books called The Great Gospel of John.  These books were written by Jacob Lorber (1800-1864).  Lorber received the words of Jesus by a method he called the “Inner Word”, or what we today would call the Holy Spirit, who guides us into all truth.  I read them back then and they aided in my spiritual growth and in no way contradict the Holy Bible.  They are mostly stories dictated by Jesus about His ministry in the villages and towns, including the many peoples He met and His miracles.

I had a doctor’s appointment today and I usually pick one book to take to read while in the waiting room.  I saw three books in a box on the floor and used the eeny, meeny, miny, moe technique to pick one book.  I even laughed while I was picking the book with this method.  Once seated at the doctor’s office, I opened the book, at random, somewhere near the middle.  I immediately noticed a paragraph that I had once highlighted in yellow marker.  Without reading it, I turned back a few pages so that I could read what the subject was all about, in context.

I typed in the following from the book myself because no translations online match the one that I read and which blessed me.

Thereupon the innkeeper, the father of Kado, rises and says” ‘O Lord and Master, what will it be like in the time of which You have told us, when prior to Your advent all people would be purified through the fire; and what kind of fire will that be?’

Says the Lord: “Yes, friend, the fire will mean great and universal want, misery and distress, the worst the earth has ever seen.  Faith will cease to exist and love cool off and the poor people will be lamenting and pining away, but the great and mighty and the kings of this world will not help those who beseech them, owing to their great arrogance and extreme hardness of heart resulting from it.

One nation will rise against the other and wage war against it with firearms.  Through this the rulers will get into considerable debt and torment their subjects with exorbitant taxes.  The result will be great dearth, famine, many serious diseases and epidemics and pestilence among men, animals and even plants.

There will also be great storms on land and sea, as well as earthquakes.  The sea will flood its shores in many places and people will suffer great anxiety and fear.  

All this will be allowed to happen in order to turn people away from their pride, egoism and great indolence.  The great who imagine themselves powerful will be punished with boredom and in order to free themselves from this torment will be forced to become active.

Behold, this is the first kind of fire through which mankind will be purified for My Second Coming.

In that time also the natural fire will have to perform a mighty service.  The fire will be driving the ships on all the seas with more than the speed of the winds.  Thanks to their keen intellect men will make iron wagons and roads and instead of draught-animals they will harness fire to the wagons by the force of which they will be traveling far across the earth faster than an arrow.

They will also know how to control the flash of lightning (electricity) and make it the fastest conveyor of their will from one end of the earth to the other.  And when the proud and greedy kings wage war against each other, the fire will have to render the crucial service.  For through its force very heavy spherical iron masses will be hurled with lightning speed against the enemy, against cities and fortresses, causing great devastation.

With these weapons ingenious mankind will arrive at a point where no nation will be able to start a war against another.  For if two nations should attack each other with such weapons, they would soon destroy each other to the last man, which would surely give none of them a true victory and advantage.  The kings and their generals will soon realize this and, therefore, rather live in peace and friendship.  And in case some particularly arrogant and ambitious troublemaker should rise and wage war against his neighbour, the peaceable ones will unite and punish him.  In this way, gradually, the former peace will return to the nations on earth and become permanent.

If from this time on you count one thousand eight hundred and almost ninety years, there will be hardly any more wars on earth and that will be the approximate time of My personal advent on this earth and the beginning of mankind’s greatest enlightenment.  

There will still be wars among the more primitive peoples, but also there they will gradually become impossible.  Through My righteous kings and generals I shall have them scattered and My light poured out upon them, and they will be transformed into peaceable nations and friends of the light.

And behold, this is the second kind of fire through which mankind will be purified.”

“A third kind of fire will consist in that I shall already a few hundred years earlier awaken ever more enlightened seers, prophets and servants who will teach the nations everywhere the truth in My name, thereby delivering them from all kinds of delusions, deception and falsehood which through false prophets and priests, even in My name, will be paving the way for their downfall, the evil beginning of which has already set in here and there.

They will lead many people astray and at the same time accumulate great earthly treasures and riches and will gain power and great authority.  However, through the third fire and its extremely bright light they will lose everything and be completely ruined.  The kings and princes, who are willing to help them, will lose all their power, their wealth and their thrones, for I shall awaken My own kings and generals who will defeat them and, thus, the former night of hell and its messengers on earth will come to an end among men.

This night, which now consists in the heathenish blind and senseless ceremony called divine service, will exist also in those times, but through the third kind of fire from the heavens it will be completely destroyed and annihilated.  For falsehood must be defeated in its fight against the light of truth from the heavens, just as natural night must succumb before the rising sun.  It must flee into its dark caves and depths; and once a person is standing in the light, he will no longer seek the night.

I have now described to you the third kind of fire which has a most destructive effect upon men’s benightedness, and so I will show you a fourth kind of fire through which the earth, mankind and all creatures shall be purified at the time of My Second Coming.  This kind of fire will consist in all kinds of great natural cataclysms, especially in those places on earth where men will have built excessively large and magnificent cities, wherein will be governing the greatest haughtiness, lovelessness, corruption, false courts of justice, power, authority, indolence and at the same time extreme poverty and all kinds of need and misery, brought about by the boundless epicurism of the great and mighty.

In such cities, as a result of excessive greed, there will also be established all kinds of factories on a large scale, in which, instead of human hands, fire and water, combined with thousands of ingenious machines made from iron, will be doing the work.  For the firing the very old earth-coal will be used, which the people of that time will be procuring from the depths of the earth in very large quantities.

When through the power of fire this activity will have reached its peak, the earth’s atmosphere will in such spots be saturated with the combustible types of ether which will then ignite here and there and completely destroy such cities and regions, together with many of their inhabitants.  This will then be a great and effective purification, too.  However, what is not achieved by the fire brought about in this way will be accomplished by all kinds of great storms.  This will, of course, happen only where it is needed, for without necessity nothing will be burnt or destroyed.

Thereby also the earth’s atmosphere will be cleared of its noxious vapours and nature spirits, and this will have a beneficial influence on all other creatures on earth.  It will also serve men’s physical health in that all the numerous and bad diseases of their body will cease to torment them and people will remain healthy and strong to a ripe old age.

Since the thus purified people will be standing in My light and at all times actively and truly observe the commandments of love, the landed property on earth will be distributed among men in such a way that everyone will have enough, so that with proper diligence he will never suffer need.  The heads of the communities and the kings, fully submitted to My will and standing in My light, will see to it that there is never any need among the people in their land.  And I myself will be visiting the people here and there, strengthening and comforting them, always where I shall find the greatest yearning and love for Me.

Herewith you have received an answer to your question, well comprehensible to you Greeks.  It is, of course, a prophecy for a time in the still rather distant future, but it will be fulfilled.  For everything can pass away, even this earth and the entire visible firmament, but not My words and promises, every one of which will come true. – Is this now quite clear to you?”

Says the innkeeper: “Yes, Lord and Master, this is certainly quite clear to us.  But since in Your goodness You have told us in advance as a certainty that You will come personally a second time to men on this earth, permanently, You could as well tell us where You will be returning to this earth.  What will be the name of the land, the place, and the fortunate people?”

Says the Lord:  “Friend, to this question I cannot give an answer which would be comprehensible to you, for at that time there will be many new places, lands and nations which have as yet no name.  However, you can be assured that I shall come again to the earth in a place where the greatest and most active faith and the greatest and truest love for God and the fellowman are found.

When I return, I shall not be coming alone, but all My own who will have been with Me in My heavens already for a long time will accompany Me in great numbers and strengthen their brothers who are still walking on earth in the flesh.  Thus, there will be a true communion between the already blessed spirits of the heavens and men of this earth, which is sure to be a great comfort to the people of that time.

And now you know all you need to know.”
