So you’ll never (can never) be free
you’ll never be YOU,
and I’ll not be me,
ever at all

Her bondage, the attire of suppression, garb of possession,
bangles of riches, ego and oppression
by those who profess, in arrogant posture,
to own, control, abuse, and to murder
a member of the human race
own their being, essence, spirit, mind and body,
stated with a righteousness thinly cloaking arrogance
heirs of presumption (by virtue of gender, race, thoughts, ways and mode of worship of the Hidden One)

If not allowed to be
Just as we are,
to think, to feel, to ponder it all and to plan
To climb over the wall, stomp down the stalls, walk thru the forest, run thru the fields
to try, risk, perchance to fall, peradventure to fly
If it is not
To Be Free after all, Why live at all ?
Why even be born, to wear us away with your weapon of fright, separation, destruction?
If not free to choose how to be what we are,
to think and to feel,
What is life for?
A bird was not made to be caged, the lion a spectacle
neither was the child, man or woman meant to be slave

Cords from before birth
so taught, strong and harsh
They teach us to never express what we feel in our hearts
Want
In our minds wish, yearn and cry for
Desire
What we are
with all of our being, when we are little (small, born)
is stamped out, opposed, forbidden,
resisted and punished so strongly (cruel sab)

unto the day they’ve succeeded in murder,
a day, a night, one moment, we are –
and then, are no longer –
Who we were born for, to be what we love and have lived for
Hoped for, prayed for, crying
so strong was the yearning
to be what we wanted and are,
that despite all their training, to accept and to smile, to pretend all is fine
Their fear and coercion, their twisted thought-training, daily enforcing, the killing and stomping of spirit,
the mangling of body and mind,
It was still what we died for.

Cruel sabotage of any and all endeavors to be, to become
what we would be, who
we are and were born for
Has resulted in pain so wide and deep, it’s worldwide in scope, individually cloaked
Mass of ongoing misery,
Mandated by man’s inhumanity
the powers that be our chosen authority
Laugh as they steer us all down the winding, rushing river of blackness, Destination: outer darkness
Teeth gnashing,
Their eyes blackly flashing, glinting with hatred while speaking of care, seemingly human,
They’re coldblooded by nature
Our lip-smacking, blood-hungry oarsmen
captains designing our ultimate fates
we question them not
Too much is at stake

Truly, this
is, this was
Not what we are or were meant for. To be free, after all – what else (was) is life meant for?
