Mass Shooting, Three Dead, Many Injured at Madden Video Game Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida (Video)
A gunman opened fire Sunday at a Madden video game tournament along Jacksonville’s riverwalk, and Florida authorities reported multiple fatalities.
“Mass shooting at the Jacksonville Landing. Stay far away from the area. The area is not safe at this time. STAY AWAY #TheLandingMassShooting” the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said in a tweet.
“Multiple fatalities at the scene, many transported,” the sheriff’s office said. “We can’t stress enough to stay away. Many blocks away.”
One suspect is dead at the scene and it was unknown if there was a second shooter, the sheriff’s office said. A search was underway.
“We are finding many people hiding in locked areas at The Landing,” the sheriff’s office said. “We ask you to stay calm, stay where you are hiding. SWAT is doing a methodical search inside The Landing. We will get to you. Please don’t come running out.”
A live feed from the tournament was underway when the shooting took place, and the audio feed is interrupted by the sound of several gunshots.
Complexity Gaming, a professional gaming team that had a player participating in the event at the GLHF Game Bar, said on Twitter that “there appears to have been a shooting at the event.”
Complexity said that participant Grini Gjoka was grazed in the hand but was “away from the scene and safe.”
Gjoka tweeted that he was hit in the thumb when the tournament “got shot up.”
“Worst day of my life,” Gjoka said. “I will never take anything for granted ever again. Life can be cut short in a second.”
The Jacksonville Landing is an entertainment complex along the St. Johns River. The area includes waterfront restaurants and an indoor shopping mall.
The shooting took place less than two days after a gunfire at a high school football game a few miles away left one person dead and two wounded.

Another day, another shooting.
Hell’s bell’s, they kill a lot more in Chicago on a Friday night and they don’t make this big of a deal of it. And they do it in Chicago every day of the week all year long. One gamer has a bad day and you’d think it was the end of the world.

I reserve judgement on what really happened at the alleged shooting because I don’t have the information required to offer an informed opinion. Official reports do not represent required information. So consider this:
What would it take to organize a team of “gamers” to stage a hoax shooting like the incident reported in Jacksonville, Florida? A dozen crisis actors: One shooter, three fatally injured victims and a number of injured victims. The police/emts who take control of the area must also be involved “gamers”. The high-ranking government officials of departments involved must be co-conspirators to ensure the official narrative follows script.
The Sting: Crisis actors have taken their positions at the gaming competition. Crisis actor/shooter enters stage left and begins shooting blanks, deliberately shooting at crisis actors, who react as shot and wounded, squashing blood packets on their bodies, as reacting to gunshots that struck them. Normal gamers run for their lives. The crisis actor/shooter busts a blood packet on the side of his head and shoots in that general direction before playing possum.
Crisis actor/police arrive and control the area, keeping the general public away, while crisis actor/emts pose for some shots from planted crisis actor/photogs for news coverage of the event. Crisis actor dead and injured are hauled away to a safe zone where they can HI-5 each other and enjoy a cold beer.
You know they made some good money and had fun doing it.
