Antichrist Discovered in a Major ‘Christian’ Religion?

Antichrist is a word found only four times in the Bible. The apostle John cited it as evidence of the last days and said anyone saying Christ is not come in the flesh is antichrist. 2John 7  What did he mean?

In Revelation’s seven letters to the seven churches (chapters 2 & 3) each one offers a promise “to him that overcomes…” Overcoming is a characteristic of the Christian who invites Christ to be Lord of their life and has the Holy Spirit abiding in them. Paul said: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Phil 4:13.

There is a major church that does not teach overcoming of sin and hat church is antichrist. Antichrist does not have to mean against Christ; it can mean in place of Christ, like the title, Vicar of Christ in a church where people pray to saints instead of God, and seek forgiveness of sins from a priest instead of what the Bible says–

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9. Paying the priest week after week may make the church wealthy, but it does not make many Christians who are overcomers.

The word “antichrist” is not found in Revelation. When Christ gave that revelation to John, did he forget it? Of course not. He just used different imagery.

Early Americans that risked their lives in boats and from starvation or Indians in a New World, were fleeing the papacy in the Old World and they understood the sea beast in Revelation 13 as the papacy. Its description as an amalgamation of the beasts (world empires) from Daniel 7 fits the papacy that survived the fall of Rome.

Protestant Reformers all believed the little horn that emerged from the 4^th beast was the papacy as it persecuted the saints, changed times and laws and had words of blasphemy with the title, Lord God the Pope. (Google)

Revelation 17 has numerous clues that only fit the papacy as a Mother of Harlots–unfaithful churches that no longer protest her. Babylon has the connotation of confusion and that’s what Europe has become since the pope pushed the acceptance of refugees, contrary to what the Bible specified –the Middle East for Abraham’s descendents. If they can’t get along there, it’s evidence of a false belief.

Islam is claimed by some to be the antichrist power, but this is only in a secondary sense as a failed strategy of Rome to re-capture Jerusalem for the Mother Church. When Islam captured Jerusalem, they reneged on the plan to benefit Rome, so the “Holy Wars” resulted in the slaughter of millions, even a children’s crusade!

Revelation 17:6 says, “Drunken with the blood of saints” that some say includes satanic rituals at the Vatican — the drinking of blood. All of the above is antichrist. The Bible issues a call to come out of Babylon and be not partakers of her sins and receive not of her plagues, Revelation 18. Sooner is better than later.

Christians who profess to love Christ but don’t love the truth are deceived because Christ said, “I am the Truth.” John 14:6. All of this may be relevant to US future with six Catholic Supreme Court Justices and three Jewish Justices. Trouble is not far away.
