my wife and i retired in june 2015 and moved from the east coast to the western mountains in our state. although we are not off grid we are prepared to go off grid for 6-12 months with food, water.and a small solar system as a backup. we built our small cabin around a wood stove, 1 years supply of food and fresh potable water in basement, 800 gallon rainwater system for garden and chickens and i used to be a dealer in guns so we are well protected now. we believe that the collapse is close and are fine tuning meds,water filtration, and sanitation for a grid down power not coming back on period. we will trust God and not any politician or level of prepping to either fix the problem or end it. we hope others are at least a little ready cause watching children and grandchildren suffer and die from lack of food and fresh drinking water or from looters whose value of life has completely departed is living in hell and would be mentally devastating to see. please prepare!
