Submarine Incident Deciphered! Kanyon Nuclear Torpedo Deployed Aboard Mothership for Losharik Class Via Florida Maquis

A spy sub “Losharik” -AS-12 (like the As-31…but its the As-12 ),capable of listening to undersea phone cables, had an explosion or fire that killed 14 of the possible 25 crew members onboard. This type of sub is “Sling-towed” underneath a parent sub. The parent sub in question here is said to be the BS-64, but the submarine that ferries the AS-12 most often is the BS-136 “Orenburg” – A modified Delta III Class Ballistic Missile Submarine.

I went to sleep last night knowing that a Russian sub had caught fire on Monday, 14 were reported dead and a lot of them higher ranking, and the sub was being brought back to its base for investigation. This morning I took a look and Reuters is screaming about lack of transparency and detailed info.

It seems to me it’s gonna take a while to get it home and a while longer to figure out what happened. In effect, this seems like a reasonable amount of info to have within that time frame. I’m more curious about why they’re screaming so loud, so quickly. Michael

I was astonished when I used the Google translator and tried to find out how the name of the Russian nuclear submarine “Losharik” is translated into English. The translator recognized the name to be Hindi and mean “Dead body”! No alternative. How foreboding it is! I bet the Russians did not know. Do they still dare to dive in it? Maybe they will change its name, but another name may not help. When the sailors get to know what the name of their sub means or has meant earlier, they will cause another accident with their superstition, because the sailors are superstitious. Better to leave the shores and cables of other people alone.
