A few weeks ago I issued a newsletter in which the Coronavirus was one of the subjects. At that time it was still called nCoV and in the meantime it is renamed to Covid 19. By now, just a little 3 weeks later, the world is beginning to wake up to this new reality. One of an invisible but potentially lethal enemy. How does this relate to Bible prophecy and how do we as Christians respond to that? I guess by now it has become clear that it is not just ‘cry baby’. Already 4000 deaths outside China and more than 180,000 known cases globally. And still rising on an exponential curve. Global air traffic is collapsing and and I don’t even need to mention the economic consequences. By the way the mortality rate of seasonal flu is 0.1%, that of Covid-19 is at least 3.4% (WHO).
The contagiousness (R0) of flu is 1.3, that of Covid-19 is somewhere in the range of 2 to 3.11.
