Something wonderful is happening in Seattle. Every now and then in human history a small opening occurs when ordinary people gather to create their own way of life. Small-scale communities come into being who are a threat to no one except to the power -mongers who rule this world. The power -mongers are quick to notice them and send in armies to destroy them.
In Spain in the 1930′s small scale communities formed under the relative freedom of the Republic. They owned and controlled their own businesses, set up food co-ops and practiced direct democracy (not representative “democracy” which is always infiltrated and taken over by the international banking cartel and their minions; the army and police) Those self-governing communities were highly successful until Franco with his army paid for by the industrialists and bankers who had a vested interest in bringing , the people “to heel” destroyed that ray of light.
