I posit that an independent truckers strike will not have that much of an impact due to only around 10% of all truckers on the road today are independents.
The biggest corporations are just waiting like hungry wolves to gobble up the last scraps of freight the independents leave unattended.
Its a simple recipe actually.
You move in and pay higher than anybody else so soon you get all the business.
Once you have put your competitors out of business by paying higher prices than they can pay.
You drop the price as low as you want…..pay everyone just enough to exist but not enough to get ahead…
The corporate/company drivers will never give up their paychecks to participate in any strike unless the company/corporation sponsors it……especially as jobs disappear down the drain due to all the garbage they are throwing at us right now.
