I have lived in my Texas home 16 yrs and have never needed or bought a generator. About 2 months ago I had a dream that gave me such a fright the kind that just sticks with you. Purchasing a large generator and stocking up on fuel was the best decision I’ve ever made for my home. I’m in Florida and hurricanes have knocked out my power for several weeks on occasion along with the numerous thunderstorms that knock out power on a regular basis. I don’t lose power for more than the few minutes it takes me to fire up the generator and plug it into the set up I made. I always keep plenty of fuel available and it’s been a Godsend.
