WHO ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU?

Stewart Best (3/13/2021): Salvation Is The One And Only Thing & Nothing Else Matters

SALVATION IS THE ONE AND ONLY THING & NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

1Tim 6:11-12

¹¹ But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

¹² Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

The above is one of those loaded verses that puts to the death modern Christianity’s concept of instant salvation and a simple sinner’s prayer. We are to FIGHT and what allows us to continue our FIGHT? Faith!! Obviously, Timothy has NOT YET LAID HOLD OF ETERNAL LIFE, which comes at genuine REBIRTH. Timothy is CONVERTED, but not yet REGENERATED and must FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT TO LAY HOLD OF ETERNAL LIFE and that comes with REGENERATION, and HIS FAITH HANGS TOUGH!!

This is why in the SEVEN LETTERS to the SEVEN CHURCHES that Jesus wrote to them, and each one ends with TO THE OVERCOMER. If one looks at the term OVERCOMETH we find it agrees with the term STRAIT and NARROW which tells us we come under great resistance from the forces of THIS WORLD that do not want you to leave this world and find the truth.

Revelation 2:7

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:11

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Revelation 2:17

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 2:26

And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:

Revelation 3:5

He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Revelation 3:12

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

Revelation 3:21

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

From G3529; to subdue (literally or figuratively): – conquer, overcome, prevail, get the victory.

THE ROOT:

G3529

Νίκη – nikē – nee’-kay

Apparently a primary word; conquest (abstractly), that is, (figuratively) the means of success: – victory.

SEVEN TIMES COME THE WARNINGS, warnings to ALL THE CHURCHES. Why is that? Because if one wants to ESCAPE THE MATRIX via REBIRTH, one better understand that one is in for a SPIRITUAL BATTLE unlike anything ever faced.

But with every WARNING comes a PROMISE. However, the PROMISE is conditional upon you continuing IN FAITH and BELIEF and do not pull back unto perdition.

Hebrews 10:38-39

³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Do you see? The world’s PULL is so strong and SO SUBTIL that Jesus warns us in the parable of the sower of how dangerous THIS PULLBACK, THIS FALLING AWAY, this LOSING YOU FIRST LOVE, this LOVE OR ZEAL, of desiring THE WORD more than anything else in the world.

2 Corinthians 7:10-12

¹⁰ For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

¹¹ For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

¹² Wherefore, though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear unto you.

My dear brothers and sisters, I have with GREAT ZEAL been warning you of the lies of the modern Church and your need to ESCAPE, and to do so with GREAT ZEAL! You need to return to your FIRST LOVE, for the time is now VERY SHORT to be counted WORTHY to stand before the SON OF MAN and ESCAPE!

Satan is the spirit of this world. He does not want you to leave it and find the REAL TRUTH which only Jesus Christ can show you. Modern salvation doctrine is simple, just say the “sinner’s prayer” and your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Many modern churches do not even have a sinner’s prayer!

The vast majority of people are what Jesus terms as “earth dwellers”, that is, the earth and their life in this world is all there is and takes up all of their time. Is this why in Luke He warns us to PRAY ALWAYS that we be found worthy to STAND BEFORE the Son of Man and ESCAPE?

Escape what? THE MATRIX ITSELF and THE THINGS THAT ARE TO COME UPON THIS WORLD secondly. Escape by OVERCOMING THE WORLD:

Luke 21:35-35

³⁵ For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

³⁶ Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

If one fights the good fight of FAITH and asks, seeks, knocks, labors, strives and continues in the Doctrines of Christ the promise is that you will FIND THE TRUTH. That truth is JESUS CHRIST, who is ULTIMATE TRUTH and then ONE ESCAPES THE MATRIX and is found worthy only because Jesus Christ ALONE is worthy. It is a COVERING SO YOU ARE NOT FOUND NAKED. (STILL FALLEN, STILL LOST). Dangerous stuff here.

When the Bible says we are saved by FAITH through GRACE and NOT OF WORKS it is speaking of a SAVING FAITH, a continuing faith, an ACTIVE faith that propels one to CONTINUE to search the matter out – that is to FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH and be an OVERCOMER, one who has DEFEATED Satan’s grip and has escaped the Matrix. True faith and true belief are all a continuous over a long period of time force that propels one through the STRAIT GATE and NARROW WAY unto LIFE and that LIFE is IN THE SON.

IT is GRACE that brought you the STRAIT GATE and NARROW WAY of escape! You frustrate GRACE by refusing to enter in:

 Galatians 2:20-21

²⁰ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

²¹I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

The STRAIT GATE and NARROW WAY is not LAW KEEPING, or some form of LEGALISM, it is GRACE that brought it and Jesus who commands it. It appears that all modern Christian salvation thought is nothing but a way around PICKING UP YOUR OWN PERSONAL CROSS as Jesus commanded we do. All of this is now an anathema and must be avoided at all cost, because obedience is also a dirty word, the “O” word!!

Let’s go back to the parable of the sower for a moment. If one views the parable of the sower it is with GREAT PATIENCE, meaning over a period of time, ONE WILL FIND THE TRUTH. Never give up in the search for truth as some do. The world, according to that parable, creeps back into one’s life, and the cares and pleasures of this world, the THINGS of this world gradually sneak into one’s life totally unnoticed by the victim. The Bible is not read much, if at all. Intense study fades away. It is not studied with a zeal for truth. Family, friends, movies, TV, sports and hobbies and such begin to be great TIME KILLERS, and once killed, can NEVER be brought back, it is LOST FOREVER. This is the most dangerous part of the WALK, for it obviously derails many a soul or Jesus would not have mentioned it.

Where is your priority? What do you do during your day? How involved are you in THIS WORLD? Do you worry about what is going on in THIS WORLD? Where is your CONCERN? How much time do you spend watching TV or movies? How much time is spent on things and concerns of THIS WORLD? Only you can answer. Are you fooling yourself? Be honest. EVERY DAY IS LOST FOREVER. Has your ZEAL FOR TRUTH vanished?

THIS WORLD is a powerful magnet for all, saved or unsaved. Examine yourselves and ask “Am I still in the faith? Have I slowly drifted away? Is my FIRST LOVE gone away?

Revelation 2:3-5

³ And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.

⁴ Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.

⁵ Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
