Private pilots are required a Third Class medical certificate every two years. Commercial pilots, a Second Class medical certificate, with a mandatory electrocardiogram after the age of 50. Airline Transport Pilot, are require a First Class medical certificate every six months, and the mandatory retirement age is 60 for being behind the cockpit of a regular scheduled airline transportation (such as Delta, Southwest, Air France, etc). All pilots may be said to be fit.
