NYC mayor blasts BLM on rising crime: ‘Where are all those who stated ‘Black Lives Matter?” JusttheNews.com, April 14, 2022
New York City Democratic Mayor Eric Adams criticized the Black Lives Matter movement for being silent about the daily murders of black children as crime increases.
“If Black lives matter, then the thousands of people I saw on the street when [George] Floyd was murdered should be on the streets right now stating that the lives of these Black children that are dying every night matter,” Adams said, according to Politico. “We can’t be hypocrites.”
His comments came on NY1 following the arrest of Frank James, who now faces a federal terrorism charge for shooting 10 people on a Brooklyn subway while letting off smoke grenades.
Adams was asked what he would do to fight crime after more than a dozen shooting incidents Tuesday night into Wednesday.
He responded it is important to be “consistent with our message.”
“Here is my question that I put out to the city: I thought Black lives mattered. Where are all those who stated Black lives matter?” he asked.
“Then go do an analysis of who was killed or shot last night. I was up all night speaking to my commanders in the Bronx and Brooklyn,” he said. “The victims were Black. Many of the shooters were Black.”
Adams added, “Why are 16, 17, 18-year-olds out on our streets armed with guns at 12:00 or 1:00 a.m.?”
From the beginning of the year to the first full week of April, crime rose in New York City by more than 75% from the same time frame in 2021, according to New York City Police Department data.

Talk of race, sex in schools divides Americans: AP-NORC poll / AP, April 14, 2022
WASHINGTON (AP) — Americans are deeply divided over how much children in K-12 schools should be taught about racism and sexuality, according to a new poll released as Republicans across the country aim to make parental involvement in education a central campaign theme this election year.
Overall, Americans lean slightly toward expanding — not cutting back — discussions of racism and sexuality, but roughly 4 in 10 say the current approach is about right, including similar percentages across party lines. Still, the poll from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research shows stark differences between Republicans and Democrats who want to see schools make adjustments.
About 4 in 10 Republicans say teachers in local public schools discuss issues related to sexuality too much, while only about 1 in 10 say too little. Among Democrats, those numbers are reversed.

Parents March on Disneyland to Protest Studio’s Woke LGBTQ+ Agenda for Children / Breitbart News, April 13, 2022
Hundreds of concerned parents and activists converged on Disneyland in Anaheim, California, Wednesday evening to protest the Walt Disney Co.’s woke agenda that includes targeting children with radical gay and transgender ideology.
Their demands included a consumer boycott of Disney and an end to the left’s sexual indoctrination of young children.
The peaceful protest was organized by Hold the Line, the Christian activist group that spearheaded last week’s demonstration at Disney corporate headquarters in Burbank. On Wednesday, they were joined by members of Turning Point USA, the conservative non-profit headed by Charlie Kirk.
Hold the Line leader Sean Feucht said the group has gathered 50,000 signature for a petition demanding Disney stop trying to indoctrinate children.
Disney cast members also spoke out against the company’s political lurch to the left.
Last week, the group rallied hundreds of protestors in front of Disney corporate headquarters in Burbank.
Some of the demonstrators chanted “Boycott Disney” while a woman who identified herself as a conservative Disneyland worker spoke about the difficulty of working for the company as someone who holds conservative values.

White House ups criticisms of red-state abortion laws ahead of midterm elections / Washington Examiner, April 14, 2022
The White House is becoming increasingly involved in the abortion fight before the Supreme Court rules on a Mississippi case that could upend Roe v. Wade despite drawing attention to its limited power to help.
The move comes as abortion shapes up to be a prominent wedge issue in the 2022 midterm elections for both Democrats and Republicans.
Planned Parenthood Action Fund spokesman Sam Lau framed the 2022 midterm cycle as a “turning point for reproductive freedom” as his organization prepares for its “largest-ever midterm electoral program” to boost pro-abortion rights candidates, from governors to state lawmakers.

The Two Foundations
“Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a sensible man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the rivers rose, and the winds blew and pounded that house. Yet it didn’t collapse, because its foundation was on the rock.

But everyone who hears these words of Mine and doesn’t act on them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, the rivers rose, the winds blew and pounded that house, and it collapsed. And its collapse was great!” (Matthew 7:24-27)
In Jesus’ illustration of the two builders, each house looked similar from the outside. The real foundation of our life is usually hidden and is only proven in the storm, and we could say that the storms come from both heaven (rain) and earth (floods).
The wise and the foolish man were both engaged in precisely the same work, and to a considerable extent achieved the same design; both of them undertook to build houses, both of them persevered in building, and both of them finished their houses.
A storm (rain, floods, wind) was the ultimate in power to generations that didn’t have nuclear weapons. Jesus warns us that the foundations of our lives will be shaken at some time or another, both now (in trials) and in the ultimate judgment before God.
Time and the storms of life will prove the strength of one’s foundation, even when it is hidden. We may be surprised when we see who has truly built upon the good foundation. It is better that we test the foundation of our life now rather than later, at our judgment before God when it is too late to change our destiny.
Jesus may have had in mind an Old Testament passage:

The fundamental differences between left-wing socialism and right-wing conservatism ideologies center around their beliefs. The political right generally believe that Christian doctrine, such as the 10 Commandments, should play a role in government. According to them, the government should abide by the Bible when it comes to social issues like abortion and gay marriage.
A significant portion on the left identify themselves as atheist or agnostic. People on the left strongly believe in a secular government and the separation of church and state.
But, there is precious little evidence that the Founders were deists, wanted religion excluded from the public square, or desired the strict separation of church and state. On the other hand, they identified themselves as Christians, were influenced in important ways by Christian ideas, and generally thought it appropriate for civic authorities to encourage Christianity.
Anyone interested in an accurate account of the nation’s past cannot afford to ignore the important influence of faith on many Americans, from the Puritans to the present day.
Christian ideas underlie some key tenets of America’s constitutional order. For instance, the Founders believed that humans are created in the image of God, which led them to design institutions and laws meant to protect and promote human dignity. Because they were convinced that humans are sinful, they attempted to avoid the concentration of power by framing a national government with carefully enumerated powers. As well, the Founders were committed to liberty, but they never imagined that provisions of the Bill of Rights would be used to protect licentiousness. And they clearly thought moral considerations should inform legislation.
America has drifted from these first principles. We would do well to reconsider the wisdom of these changes.
This core difference between Christian and atheist directly effects what they are for and against:
Because socialism is a fight against basic human nature, it requires brute force in the attempt to reach its goals.
People on the right believe that the best outcome for society is achieved when individual rights and civil liberties are paramount and the role — and especially the power — of the government is minimized.
The best warning about socialism comes from Aesop, who said, “Those who voluntarily put power into the hands of a tyrant … must not wonder if it be at last turned against themselves.”
Stalin’s campaign didn’t mention that he would enact policies that would lead to the slaughter of 62 million people in the Soviet Union between 1917 to 1987.
Mao Zedong didn’t mention that his People’s Republic of China would engage in brutal acts that would lead to the loss of 76 million lives at the hands of the government from 1949 to 1987.
When a government takes over all economic activity, there are drastic consequences. Controlling all economic activity requires a strong dictatorship and totalitarian measures of oppression and violence. Individuals are required to divorce themselves from who God created them to be and serve the state instead. With this comes state-sponsored atheism and an effort to control culture and destroy individual entities.
Cultures and countries fail when leaders construct a society that operates opposite of God’s design. The Soviet Union was a failure because it revolted against God’s design and desire for creation. It failed because it denied people the ability to live into who God created them to be. It stripped citizens of their personal choices and provided no incentives for them to unleash their creativity in productive ways.
The house was built on sand, without property rights, incentives to create, and freedom.
When a society turns against the Lord and toward Utopian socialist fantasies, that nation is doomed. Their destruction is only a matter of time. Like Sodom and Gomorrah, we are reaching that critical point now.
“Write to the angel of the church in Laodicea:
“The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Originator of God’s creation says: I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’ and you don’t know that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent. Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me. The victor: I will give him the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also won the victory and sat down with My Father on His throne. (Revelation 3:14-21)
Age of Apostasy (1900 to present) – Laodicea: From this church, those who overcome will be granted the opportunity to sit with the Son of God on His throne. (Revelation 3:14-22). Admonished to be zealous and repent from being “lukewarm”; they are instructed to buy the “gold refined in the fire”, that they may be rich; to buy “white garments”, that they may be clothed, so that the shame of their nakedness would not be revealed; to anoint their eyes with eye salve, that they may see.

The seventh and final letter to the churches of ancient Asia Minor is to the church in the city of Laodicea. This last message is found in Revelation 3:14-22. Laodicea was a wealthy, industrious city in the province of Phrygia in the Lycos Valley.
In contrast to the other six churches, the Laodicean church has nothing to commend it. Jesus begins the message with condemnation: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, ‘I’m rich; I have become wealthy and need nothing,’ and you don’t know that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:15-17).
Jesus emphasizes their “lukewarm,” apathetic nature three times. As a result of their ambivalence to spiritual things, Jesus would have nothing to do with them. He would “vomit them out,” as the people of Laodicea would spit out the tepid water that flowed from the underground aqueducts to their city. With their apathy came a spiritual blindness; they claimed to be rich, blessed and self-sufficient. Perhaps they were rich in material things. But, spiritually, the Laodiceans were in a wretched, pitiful condition, made all the worse in that they could not see their need. This was a church filled with self-deceived hypocrites.
Jesus calls the Laodicean church to repent of its sin: “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see” (Revelation 3:18). Their material wealth had no eternal benefit, so Jesus commands them to come to Him for true, spiritual riches (see Isaiah 55:1-2).
Only Christ can supply an everlasting inheritance, clothe us in righteousness, and heal our spiritual blindness.
Jesus then notes His concern for His church in Laodicea: “As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent. Listen! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and have dinner with him, and he with Me” (Revelation 3:19-20).
His rebuke is not born of animosity but of love. “the Lord disciplines the one He loves” (Hebrews 12:6). The desired response to God’s reproof was zealous change and true repentance.
Verse 20 is often used as an evangelistic appeal, yet its original context communicates Christ’s desire for fellowship with His lukewarm church in Laodicea. The church is nominally Christian, but Christ Himself has been locked out. Rather than turn His back on them, He knocks, seeking someone to acknowledge the church’s need and open the door. If they would repent, Jesus would come in and take His rightful place in the church. He would share a meal with them, a Middle Eastern word picture speaking of closeness of relationship.
Jesus then makes a promise to the believers in Laodicea: “The victor: I will give him the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also won the victory and sat down with My Father on His throne” (Revelation 3:21). The “victor” refers to any believer, and the promise is that he will share Christ’s future kingdom.
In summary, the church at Laodicea had become apathetic in their love for Christ. They were allowing “the seduction of wealth, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.” (Mark 4:19). Christ called them to repent and live zealously for Him, to “choose for yourselves today the one you will worship” (Joshua 24:15). The Lord Jesus issues the same call to those who say they follow Him today.

What has happened to Christianity in the last 120 years? How far have we fallen?
Witness the results:
.Unfortunately, today many people have stripped the idea of freedom from its essential burden of responsibilities, from its adherence to a code of ethics, a moral imperative. And too many people are under the illusion that a people without a land and a sovereign society could ever fully achieve freedom. The contemporary love affair with the universal doesn’t liberate a single soul. On the contrary, it places us all under the boot of tyranny. And far too many people have removed God from their ideal of freedom, inevitably placing themselves back in the shackles of others more powerful than they.
We must pray for forgiveness and for our land to be healed! It is time to wake up, repent, and get spiritually ready.
The Lord tells us:
If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

As Christians, we obtain our peace and security through Jesus Christ. The fact is that there are irreconcilable conflicts between Christianity and all other religions. Christianity alone makes provision for man’s basic need – the forgiveness of sin.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.”
Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.“ (John 14:1-6)
The Laodicean “Age of Apostasy” has been degenerating the Church for over 120 years now. We have reached the same point as the days of Noah, leading up to the Flood.

And the Lord said, “My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever, because they are corrupt. Their days will be 120 years.” (Genesis 6:3)
The door of Noah’s ark is an example of the finality of a door closing:
In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the sources of the watery depths burst open, the floodgates of the sky were opened, and the rain fell on the earth 40 days and 40 nights. On that same day Noah along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, Noah’s wife, and his three sons’ wives entered the ark with him. They entered it with all the wildlife according to their kinds, all livestock according to their kinds, the creatures that crawl on the earth according to their kinds, all birds, every fowl, and everything with wings according to their kinds. Two of all flesh that has the breath of life in it entered the ark with Noah. Those that entered, male and female of all flesh, entered just as God had commanded him. Then the Lord shut him in. (Genesis 7:11-16)
When the Lord closed the door, He pronounced a death sentence on all of the people who drowned. The Lord knew beforehand that they would never believe Noah’s preaching.
Clearly, the period of testing is over, and judgement is about to begin.
Things are very dark in 2022. But, let’s pray that the 7 blessings in the Book of Revelation apply to us:
The first blessing is found in Revelation 1:3: “Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.”
The second blessing is found in Revelation 14:13: “Then I heard a voice from heaven say, ‘Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’ ‘Yes,’ says the Spirit, ‘they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them.’”
The third blessing is found in Revelation 16:15: “Look, I come like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake and remains clothed, so as not to go naked and be shamefully exposed.”
The fourth blessing is found in Revelation 19:9: “Then the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!’ And he added, ‘These are the true words of God.’”
The fifth blessing is found in Revelation 20:6: “Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.”
The sixth blessing is found in Revelation 22:7: “Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”
The seventh blessing is found in Revelation 22:14: “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.”
We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
