The building of the third temple sounds like something new, but is that the correct course for humanity – man rebuilding the last temple? Isn’t God the builder of the next temple that will drop from the sky?
The power of the temple is not the building dimensions or the ceremonies conducted within or even the divine treasures like the arc of the covenant. What made the temple unique is that it was a place where humans had a direct connection with God. That connection was lost after the first temple fell and then regained with the building of the second temple.
