One of many illusions is that justice being blind the role of the police is to neutrally apply the law. Not true: whatever the period or nation, regardless of politics, the role of the police is to protect the State. To this end, police officers arrest, perjure themselves, intimidate, maim and kill.

The mindset and morality of a policeman is not subject to border control; theirs is a brotherhood, ditto journalists and the political elite. Picture a great fortress (government) with walls (police) and a moat (media). Much of what is happening in the world now begins to make sense.

Shamefully, police act with far greater hostility towards their own people than do troops of an occupying force. This was true in British occupied Ireland and the colonies. It was true in Reich occupied Russia and during the German occupation of France and Britain (Channel Islands 1940 ~ 1945). Whether paid by democracy or on behalf of an occupying force, it is far safer to surrender oneself to a foreign soldier than a policeman.

This was true in apartheid South Africa and the Soviet Bloc (STASI). It is equally true in modern Germany, Spain, France, Russia, Britain, and the United States. If you confront the state you will be vilified by media and confronted by police.

When questioned about the arrest of political demonstrators in Russia,  President Putin reminded the audience that ‘protests are not something unique for the world and Europe in particular’.

Putin pointed out that France’s Yellow Vest protests, now in their 40^th week and ignored by Western media, ‘ended up with thousands of injured people, including deaths and serious injuries.’

In July, hundreds of people in France joined the ‘march of the mutilated’ in Paris to protest police brutality. Not only France, but protests for Catalonia’s independence from Spain in Barcelona recently saw heavy clashes and appalling police brutality, as well as G20 protests in Hamburg among others.

Western media has been orgasmic over the recent suppression of protests in Russia. Media neglects to point out that aspiring political parties were disqualified after it was proved forged signatures were used to acquire the required status to put themselves forward for election.

In total there were 2,300 arrests of which only 136 were detained, primarily for provoking crowd violence and urging the storming of city hall. Try that in London, Paris or Washington DC.
