Let us look at Luke 6:40 from my N.I.V. Bible “A student is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.”
The perfection here means a spiritual one. What the verse is saying is that knowledge is not what matters! The teacher or master is higher in knowledge than his student. But the student can be as high as his teacher, or even higher, by being a true ‘MUSHLAM’ or Muslim, a spiritually perfect and well-disciplined person!
“Ein talmeed na’leh ‘al rabbo; shekken kal adam she’MUSHLAM yihyeh k’rabbo.”

so will you for that matter. now we’re even. what part of MEEM-SHEEN-LAMD-MEEM spells “mushlam”/”mushlim” = muslim don’t you understand? this might not be an even game. i know more aramaic and arabic than you do. aramaic is not much different than arabic. BTW blind faith doesn’t help anyone.
So the translated word is perfected for Muslim? I can see it meaning submitted as the literal translation. And it makes sense given the context.

And I agree with the blind faith. Jesus even said. “And he spake a simile to them, ‘Is blind able to lead blind? shall they not both fall into a pit?”

There is absolutely NO indications that Jesus was a muslim or that he even talked about being a muslim. Taking four “letter” from a translated text and saying that means he was something totally antithetical to His message is ludicrous at best….blasphemy at worse. The entirety of His message through all the New Testament books was that He was and IS the Son of the Living God that came to save a fallen and sinful world. He gave His life so that we might have a way to be with God. He is our intercessor to God for the sins we commit and He was put to death so He could claim that role.
Muhammed, may torment be upon him, came and conquered and killed people that didn’t worship his false god, Allah. And those who follow him are doing so today. Muhammed didn’t come to give his life for others, but to take other’s lives for him and his perceived glory. If he is the prophet of anything, he is the prophet of Satan.

Look at the old testament even repentance was enough when prophet Johnah went and preached repentance (The people repented and was spared from the wrath of our creator). You are focused on someones death to save your own soul when Jesus PBUH said himself to repent and worship our creator alone. Why did you turn Jesus into a Pharaoh. (Man god) Prophet Muhammad PBUH stated exactly what all the Prophets stated. Repent and worship our creator alone.
@Another Anon agreed. But also notice the arrogance of “not sure”. We muslims respect and glorify (not worship) Jesus. We also respect his mother as a mother of a prophet and believe in the virgin birth. Look at the garbage we get in return from the likes of “not sure”.

On one hand you claim that Muslims believe in the virgin birth (which is news to me), but your comment above claims truth in that Jesus and Mary were both believed fully human and never claimed to be anything else. Were virgin births common back then among ordinary humans? Am I missing something?
if it is news to you then, i would suggest you study up on it. the quran affirms the status of both jesus and mary as born of a virgin birth and a mother who had remained a virgin.
