How a church can feed a whole family for a week with one can of food

I seem to love Christian people, always wanting to help and in most cases the quickest to Judge.
I find it funny that these people follow a book blindly when it has over hundreds of contradicitions and double speak. But the book even tells people straight up that it is a diversion from Reality. 

How so? In Isaiah 62 It clearly states “God will lead the bilnd in ways they know not”

Now Christians generally are pretty smart and have prestigious jobs within the community. Standing like a pillar and always willing to help out the community. However most of these people appear to me to be middle class republicans, who are always willing to help you (according to their schedule) and will judge you on whether you are worthy of the request for help you need.

On the most part although they appear to be quite intelligent and always willing to lend a hand, they don’t seem to possess one thing, a major key in life. What would this be? It is common sense or in layman’s terms “street wise” as an example of this I will show you in this article how i dealt with a church in my town that wanted to judge me as well as control my life and offer suggestions to better my life. I have to make a Note here NOT ONE OF THESE PEOPLE EVER CAME TO WHERE I LIVED AN SAW THE CIRCUMSTANCES I WAS GOING THROUGH, THEY MERELY MADE PRESUMPTIONS UPON WHAT I RELATED TO THEM IN CONVERSATION.
Okay so the story goes like this
In the mid 80′s I started to join a fairly newly formed church maybe 20- 30 members. Seemed like nice people, your average neighbors I started attending i beleive it was in the basement of a home.

 In any case I lived in a Bar Hotel in this tiny town, i rented a room upstairs.

One Sunday when I attended church the congregation approached me and said they had seen me going into the bar which i lived over  Note I very rarely drink beer or alcohol, I am strictly a Pepsi drinker. Anyways after a few rounds of trying to convince them that I was not in the bar getting drunk, I asked them do you realize the bar is also a restuarant. Curious they said No we didn’t know that. I said let me guess you saw me going in about 6:30 7 pm right. They responded “Yup, yup that was about the time”. I said did you ever think I was going in there for dinner. Of course perplexed they were like no no we didnt think of that.

So the Church told me they didnt want me to go in the bar anymore. I told them I cannot cook upstairs, so I have to eat out. So they tried to figure out a way for me to eat in my room. They came up with the idea to get me this little heater bar that you can put in a can of soup to heat it up. Generally these bars heat up an burn out within minutes of plugging them in. So they were like we don’t know what to do to help you’

So I told them do you really wish to help me eat, if so all you have to do is give me one can of anything, doesn’t matter and i will eat for a week. again perplexed and scratching their heads, they said to me, “you are telling us if we give you one can of food you will be able to eat for a whole week?” I responded “Yes most certainly”.

They said how is that possible. Now tell me if this is the Christian attitude? I said “you nice people are more then willing to give me the one can of food, however you will fail to ask me if I have a can opener, so it will take me all week to figure out how to open the can. Of course this didnt sit well with them and they got offended. 
Tell me dear Readers is this not the Christian way an spirt of alot of people

Then to top it off a few weeks later i go back an they tell  me they saw me standing with the bad kids in town and they didnt like that. I said well if you wish me to convert people you have to be around people like that, you can’t save someone who is already saved. Well again they continue with their distaste of who I was being seen with. They said they wanted to see me hanging around good positive people, like Christians.

So I asked them , one day on a sunday if your cutting your grass why don’t you come and get me, they said”why do you like to cut grass” I said “No silly, if you say I am around the wrong people come an get me so i am around the right people” again I offended them with my simple logic and loving way
Now of course not one member ever came to the Hotel Bar to visit me or ask me to do something.
So it is sad that people are this way and don’t think or use common sense, let alone have some power trip that they are the ones that can judge you an your life style.

Now I have visited over 20 religions in my lifetime, IIn college i did a project where i visited over 20 religions, taking part in one of their ceremonies , then interviewing a member, It was a great life changing experience for me. I loved every minute of it.

I am currently a budhhist of www.NST.org. However they had some split an now there are two Buddhist sects called NST SGI.

Although the buddhist practive is wonderful, chanting and putting out a positive vibration, after everything is said an done, you have the same people that are in regular churchs.
I am sure you know the people I speak of.

In any case no matter what God you chose to follow, I say follow with your heart and don’t let other people judge or interfer in the relationship you have with your spirit.

As fo age 16 and after “meeting Jesus” i have come to this conclusion, all religions all precepts come down to these three keys. Love ,Compassion, and Understading. If you can regulate these three great qualities in your life. Then you got this planet licked.
