An Garda Síochána trample upon the Irish Constitution in Edenmore!

It was very disturbing to see the constitutional right to protest trampled upon earlier in Edenmore. People have a right to assemble and protest peacefully and a duty to oppose these water meters.

There was aggressive and heavy handed policing at a protest earlier today. An earlier blog post outlined the history of “Irish Water”.

An Garda Síochána was established to be guardians of the peace and not the private police of Denis O’Brien, John Tierney or Fine Gael.

Those who have received a pack from Irish Water should return it to sender with “No Consent, No Contract” written on the unopened pack.

There ought to be continued peaceful protest against install the meters.

The Irish Constitution can not be trampled on, To trample on the constitution is to trample upon the Irish people, who are sovereign.
