Lies of The Roman Catholic Church - Part IV; Augustine's Lie of The Doctrine of Original Sin, and the False Practice of Infant Baptism

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

What a web the Roman Catholic Church has weaved!  Each error of the Roman Catholic Church builds upon the previous error, promoting even more error to try to solve a problem the previous error created.  The concept of original sin is one of the most heinous invented by the Roman Catholics, because of the further error in reasoning that it causes. We cannot touch upon all of those in one post, but one of the immediate results was the concept of infant baptism.

They teach that everyone is born in sin and darkness, inheriting the sin of Adam and Eve.

Born with a fallen human nature and tainted by original sin, children also have need of the new birth in Baptism to be freed from the power of darkness and brought into the realm of the freedom of the children of God, to which all men are called.” (Catechism 1994, 1250)

The concept of original sin is traced back to Augustine, who reasoned that salvation through Jesus Christ was only available in the Catholic Church, and that therefore any other path to salvation outside of  the Catholic Church was in vain. Augustine then concluded from this false presumption that everyone had to be baptized in the Roman Catholic Church or they were lost; and that this included infants, as they needed the medicine of Christ because God would not allow them to suffer deformities, sickness, disease, mistreatment, and death unless they were sinners.  There is more faulty justification from Augustine, but you get the idea.

By the 3rd century A.D., the suppositions and musings of the bishops and priests of the Roman Catholic Church was well into apostasy.  They were not letting God’s word rule, as much as they were twisting it to suit their own agenda, relying more upon the writings of their own bishops than upon God’s word.  Augustine reasoned incorrectly ignoring the scriptures, thus creating his own doctrine.

The practice of infant baptism began in the Mediterranean areas and by 4th century A.D. had become standard practice within the Roman Catholic Church.  The Council of Carthage officially accepted it in 418 A.D., and condemned anyone who opposed it.  (The closure of discussion is a sure sign of tyranny.)

But, God’s word is clear. Children do not inherit the sins of the parents. Let’s see what the Bible actually says.  (from the KJV, and bold emp. is mine.)

When Moses tried to take the sins of the people onto himself, God denied him: “ And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book. Ex. 32:33

“ The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin. Deu. 24:16. (Also 2 Kings 14:6; 2 Chron. 25:4)

But every one shall die for his own iniquity:…” Jer. 31:30

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.” Ez. 18:20

It is clear from the Old Testament scriptures that God considered each man and woman responsible for their own actions.  So, everyone is responsible for their own sins.  This is confirmed in the New Testament at Rom. 14:12,   So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”

Therefore, the doctrine of inherited original sin taught by the Roman Catholic Church is false, and every other doctrine derived from that one false doctrine is also false.

Furthermore, God does not create evil, as there is no evil in Him. (1 John 1:5)    Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God,…” (Acts 17:29), then we are not created evil!

In speaking of the King of Tyrus, Ezekiel stated,  ” Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. Ez. 28:15

Tyrus was created perfect!  That means without sin! Iniquity was found in him later in life because of his actions.  Consider Paul’s statements in Rom. 7:8-9 carefully.

But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.  For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.”

When was Paul alive once without the law?  When would the law not have applied to Paul while he was alive?  The only time that would be possible would be before he was accountable to the law, and that would be as a child.  As a child he was alive, spiritually alive, as he was not yet accountable to the law of God.  But when he became accountable to the commandments, then was sin revived, and he died spiritually because of that sin.  Sin makes us spiritually dead to God.  At that point, we need the propitiation and atonement of Christ’s sacrifice.  But, not until that point.

Even today, under all of the secular laws written by mankind, the lawyers recognize that children are not accountable the same as adults and make a distinction in how they are tried, if they are tried at all. The precept of accountability is one that comes with age, with maturity of mind.  Remember that Jesus, our example in all things, did not begin His ministry until the age of 30.

A baby is born innocent, and has not sinned.  The baby has no concept of right or wrong, and has no capability of sinning.  The soul of each new born child is a new creation of God, and is blameless.  If something happens to end that life abruptly, the soul of that child is going to go straight back to the Most High who created it.

Baptism – immersion – is for sinners.  Babies have not sinned, and have no need for remission of sins.  The Bible is silent regarding infant baptism.  There is not one verse that mentions it.  That concept is an imagination of sinful men who perverted the scriptures and changed the word of God.  The Catholics created the problem to begin with.  The false teaching of infant baptism would not have been necessary if they had not created the false teaching of original inherited sin.

A person must be taught what is required to be baptized.  They must be able to hear, believe, and obey.  They must be capable of  repenting of their sins, confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and be immersed for the remission of their sins. These are all actions of an accountable person.

A baby or child is not yet accountable for any of those actions.  God does not expect this free will choice from anyone who is not capable of making that free will choice.  The precept of accountability is one that comes with age, with mental maturity.

The decision to be baptized into Christ, to die to sin, has to be made consciously by someone with mental maturity who admits they have sinned, and need God’s forgiveness.  It is a contract, and even at law, minors are not considered of an age to sign contracts.  Can a baby or a child discern truth from false?  All contracts with minors are considered null and void, as a minor is vulnerable to fraud and deceit not knowing the law.

Isn’t that exactly what the Catholic Church is practicing?  Fraud and deceit.  One sided, unilateral contracts in order to obtain more subjects to control?  What better way than to command the parents to enter / enroll their babies into the Roman Catholic Church after birth?  It increases their membership without having to expend the energy to convince an adult to convert to the Roman Catholic Church.

But, it is fraud, as they have forced a contract upon an unknowing and unwitting soul to enter into a relationship without consent, and that makes it null and void!  All of the actions of the Roman Catholic Church are null and void because of this one contract violation alone!

Matt. 18:1-6, 1At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?  And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,  And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.  And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.  But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Matt. 18:10, “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Mark 10:14,  But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

1Pet. 2:1-2, 1Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”

Because the Catholics teach inherited sin, and that babies are thus born in darkness and sin, they also teach that babies who die without being baptized are not assured of going to heaven.  They hope that God will be merciful and take the baby home, but they don’t know for sure.  So, which is it?  Are the babies born in sin and darkness without hope?  Or, do they have hope of a heavenly home should they die too soon?

It is man that creates evil. The priests, bishops, and popes of the Roman Catholic Church are prime evidence of that.  They have twisted God’s word to create a doctrine God never taught.  The doctrine of original sin, and of infant baptism are no where found in God’s word.  The Roman Catholic Church is teaching error, and lies, and thus have no authority from God.  They are teaching something the Apostles never taught, and therefore they are anathema!

The Bible says “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? *And Philip said, IF THOU BELIEVEST with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and THEY went down both into the water, BOTH Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.” Acts 8:36-38

*Notice that in the Catholic Bible and the NIV this verse is missing altogether. Also notice that the Bible records verse number 36… and then skips right to verse 38. Even the number “37″ has been removed. The reason the Catholic church removed this verse from their Bible and was instrumental in having it removed from the NIV is mainly because this verse proves that a person must first BELIEVE that Jesus is the Son of God BEFORE being baptized. An infant cannot make this statement, so rather than change their doctrine, they try and change the Bible to save face. Didn’t they know that God’s children would sooner or later find out about this? Obviously not.

This “bogus doctrine” leads itself to other problems as well. Take for example the UNBiblical doctrine called “confirmation” in the Catholic church. How can Catholic dogma state that people receive the Holy Spirit during confirmation?

“Then Peter said unto them, REPENT, and be BAPTIZED every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall RECEIVE the GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.” Acts 2:38

Seems rather plain what the order of events are here. REPENT… be BAPTIZED… and then RECEIVE the gift of the Holy Ghost. Now it is true that all Catholic children are baptized at infancy, this is most definitely before confirmation. However, how is it possible for the Catholic receiving confirmation to ever gone into repentance before baptism? An infant cannot do this, plain and simple. It is impossible to effectively baptize a person without their consent, let alone their knowledge. If you are a Catholic, let me ask you this… “Do you remember being baptized?” I don’t remember, nor do I recall repenting before being baptized. So how is it possible for me to receive the gift of the Holy Ghost at confirmation when I didn’t follow the method God’s Word stipulates as the order of events needed for reception?

Baptism is not something to be taken lightly. It is not just some “ritual”. It is a VERY graphic public proclamation of a life changing repentative faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of ones life. To diminish it to some ritual that is “snuck” in without the knowledge of the one receiving is nothing more than a demonic form of “mind control”. The infant comes to adulthood and “entertains” the though of baptism later in life because of the simple will of God gently tugging on the heart. However, after “realizing” that this “ritual” took place already, they may walk on without giving it a second thought.

Again, baptism is no “minor” ritual to be toyed with and entertained as a “fad” or a “fix all”. Some will attempt to approach baptism today as a way to “stop all the problems” in their life, or to remove guilt. This is not new. They see a bleek horizon and feel if they “jump in the water” they will be spared the wrath approaching. John the Baptist dealt with some like this as well.

Matthew 3:7,8 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

John wasn’t going to allow them to sneak in and be baptized without meeting the necessary conditions God had set up in advance for baptism. WHY SHOULD YOU?

After I read the REAL verses # 37 of Acts chapter eight. I realized a person cannot be baptized unless they repented and believe with all their heart, that Jesus Christ is the Lord. This always made me wonder how it was possible for them to baptize me when I was an infant. I couldn’t make any decisions for myself at that time. I couldn’t even feed myself without help, let alone repent or even make a proclamation of my personal faith in Jesus. The Bible made perfect sense to me here. How can a person be baptized as an infant? Not only is the infant incapable of knowing who Jesus is. The people holding the baby don’t know who the infant will grow to become. So how can they make a life changing decision or even speak for this infant as an adult?

The church of Rome also goes so far as to add their dogmatic assumptions in the following verses, stating these passages prove babies can be baptized…

Acts 2:39, “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Acts 22:16, “And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.”

They say these passage prove that baptism is a universal command and not restricted to adults. So, my question is this. HOW can an infant know the Lord has CALLED them, and how can an infant ARISE and the CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD?

Plain and simple. The Pagan church of old baptized babies, and as prophecy declared, the WHore of Babylon in Rome will do this as well.

Yes, the RCC is justifying their position by using God’s scriptures in twisted manner to mean something other than what God said. It is a poisoning of the soul. And, the consequences of their thought processes goes all the way to what Louis has accused above; that everyone outside of the RCC is depraved. The end result of this doctrine of original sin I will touch on in a future post, but is the position they have allowed their army of Jesuits to believe in order to justify the killing and murders of the “infidels” they have decided are not worthy of living. Who are the real depraved ones?

    • Amminadab

      Are we really born sinners?
“…the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness…transgressors shall be taken up in their own naughtiness.” Proverbs 11:5-6.

“…he is taken away in his iniquity…that wicked man shall die in his iniquity…for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it…I will judge you every one after his ways.” Ezekiel 33:6, 8, 13, 20.

So everyone will be punished for their own sins, not for the sins of their predecessors. Thus no one is born a sinner!
To understand this more clearly, let us use the example of my hand. My hand is made of flesh. It has bones; it has muscles, tendons, and nerves; it also has a blood supply, and thus all the nourishment it needs to function and move. But it cannot move one bit on its own power. The only way my hand can move is if my mind commands it to move. Thus the flesh, of itself, cannot sin against God. Then how is sin committed?
Sin is committed only when we choose to yield ourselves to the temptation. Thus sin is committed by our own choice. We do not become sinners when we are born, but we become sinners because we choose to be.
“But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
“Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.” James 1:14-15.

Thus when we are enticed and choose to give in to the enticement, then is when sin is committed. Thus no one is born a sinner, but the child becomes a sinner because he chooses to do wrong.
“For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil…” Romans 9:11.

So a child, born with a fallen human nature, has to first do good or evil before you know what his character is. Thus he is not born a sinner. When Christ was born in fallen human flesh, He was not born a sinner. He had to learn to recognize good from evil, and then He had to choose between them. And praise God He never once chose to give in and do evil, but He always chose to do good. He always chose to follow His Father’s will.
“Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.” Isaiah 7:14-16.

Thus Christ was not born a sinner, but He had to choose between right and wrong. If He had chosen wrong, then He would have chosen to sin and become a sinner by that choice. In the same manner, not one of us are born sinners. We make ourselves sinners because we choose to sin. What we inherited from Adam’s sin is a fallen human nature and death because of it, but we did not become sinners by his sin–we become sinners by our choice to sin!
Many try to evade this solemn realization, and instead of resting blame upon themselves for their own evil actions, they try to place the blame upon others. In fact, some even charge God with their sins! Since no one is born a sinner, what is the real nature of sin, and how does it spread?
It is the nature of sin to spread like a contagious disease–from one person to another. It is spread by influence; it is spread from mind to mind. And since sin spreads from mind to mind, then it is in the mind in which sin is first committed. It is not committed because we are born sinners. It is first in the mind that sin is accepted and then it is committed, and so it is by choice that we sin.
      But what exactly is sin?
“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” 1 John 3:4.

Now which law? In James 2:8 it is called the Royal Law. In Exodus 20:3-17 it is called God’s Ten Commandments. And in James 1:25 it is called the law of liberty. But liberty from what? It is liberty or freedom from sin. By keeping God’s law you would not be committing sin, and thus would be free from it.
Christ came to this earth. He lived as one of us; He took our fallen nature and sinful flesh upon Himself; He resisted all the inward inclinations and desires towards sin, and died as our Substitute and perfect, sinless Pattern. But why?
“…and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Matthew 1:21.

Christ died in order to save us from our sins, not in our sins. And this is the whole point why there is such a heated battle and debate over this issue of Christ’s nature, and of what flesh He took and lived in. People do not want to be saved from their sins, but they want to continue to commit sin and yet believe they will escape the lake of fire to live forever! This is nothing more than the original lie which Satan deceived Eve by stating that she could disobey God’s express command, and yet “ye shall not surely die” (Genesis 3:4).
But God tells us in Ezekiel 18:20 that “the soul that sinneth, it shall die.” So to believe that you can continue to live in sin and yet escape death, you are actually believing in the immortality of the soul–that you can sin and live forever, when the Bible states otherwise. This original lie of the devil of the immortality of the soul is the foundational basis for all spiritualism and all occultic religions.
But yet, all the churches of Christendom are teaching this spiritualistic doctrine of the immortality of the soul–that you can sin, and still go to heaven and live forever.
If you believe that Christ did not take our fallen, sinful nature upon Himself; if you believe that Christ did not live in our sinful flesh; if you believe that Christ did not experience the inward, inner desires and inclinations toward committing sin, which He always resisted; if you believe that we are born sinners, and that sin is not committed by choice, including the belief that Christ had advantages over us in overcoming sin which we do not have today, then you are really declaring that you believe in the false doctrine of the immortality of the soul! You are thus involved in spiritualism, and are being led by the devil towards everlasting destruction. Thus you are committing doctrinal suicide!
As sin is committed by our choice to disobey God’s law, and since there is no power in heaven or in earth that can compel any of us to sin, then can you and I really keep all of God’s commandments and thus overcome all sin?
Moses tells us: “…ye shall…observe to do, all the words of this law. For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life…” Deuteronomy 32:46-47.

Joshua tells us: “But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law…to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Joshua 22:5.

Jeremiah tells us: “But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts and will be their God, and they shall be my people….for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” Jeremiah 31:33-34.

David tells us: “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” Psalms 40:8.

Paul tells us: “For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.” Romans 2:13.

“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.” Romans 3:31.

“Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?…Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” Romans 7:1, 12

We all come from one man Adam and from that one man we all inherited his carnal human nature.

That nature is evil, none are good no not one Those God the Father is calling now will experience, through out their lives, the “circumcision with out hands” cutting away that carnal human nature and the Father will replace it with HIS Divine Holy Righteous Perfect Nature.

      AUGUSTINE AND ORIGINAL SIN

At the heart of Augustinian theology was his own lack of self-control. He couldn’t seem to be able to stop sinning; so he speculated that it was impossible for anyone to stop. Augustine’s life was tempestuous and passionate. Despite His intellectual abilities, he could not keep his body under. His ideas of human depravity were based on pagan philosophies he had been earlier taught and on the memories of his sordid past. His Confessions constitutes one of the most remarkable psychological disclosures in all literature, Christian or otherwise. In careful detail, he vividly recalls the miserable life; so that his readers could consider all that impurity, that they, themselves, might the better absorb his wonderful theological truths.

Augustine decided that man, when he fell, fell into a somethingness called “original sin.” This is full sin and full guilt. And it is, according to Augustine, passed on from parent to child. As soon as the child is born it has that full sin and full guilt within it. The error of “original sin” is the error of biological transmission of sin. It is inherited sin and inherited guilt. Augustine had a specific example of this. He believed and he taught it: Man cannot keep from concupiscence (sexual sin); he is doomed to indulge in it. But, of course, we can understand why Augustine felt this way. He had the flaw of all philosophers: He spent his time thinking about his own problems instead of reading the Word and submitting to its clear teachings, no matter what the personal sacrifice that might be involved. Philosophers are concerned with thinking; “Christian philosophers,” or theologians, with “doing theology.” But in contrast, Christians are concerned with reading Gods Word, accepting it as it reads, communing with Him, and obeying Him. The objectives are as far different as the paths that they take.

Augustine was so wrapped up in himself and his “personal-image theology,” as one might call it, that he was not emotionally able to face the plain truth of Scripture. If he had been willing, the Christian church, for sixteen-hundred years, would not have needed to be saddled with his error of “original sin.”

      WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES

Augustine taught that sin and guilt are inherited. But the Bible teaches that every man is individually responsible for his own sin.

“Now, lo, if he beget a son that seeth all his fathers sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like . . that hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed My judgments, hath walked in My statutes: he shall not surely die for the iniquity of his father, he shall surely live.

“As for his father, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity.

“Yet say ye, Why? Doth not the son bear the iniquity of the father? [Adam was our father; don't we bear his iniquity, his original sin?] When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all My statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live.

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

“But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all My statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

“All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him. In his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.

“Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord God, and not that he should return from his ways, and live? But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned. In his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he bath sinned, in them shall he die.

“Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel: Is not My way equal? Are not your ways unequal?”Ezekiel 18:14, 17-25 (note verses 26-32).

“Your blood be upon your own heads.”Acts 18:6 (compare Eze 33:4).

“Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him, for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him.”Isaiah 3:10-11 (also read Ps 128:1-2; 1:3-5; 11:4-6; Eccl 8:12-13; Gal 6:7-9; Rom 2:6-9; 2 Cor 5:10; Heb 6:12).

“Who will render to every man according to his [own] deeds.”Romans 2:6 .

“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers. Every man shall be put to death for his own sin.”Deuteronomy 24:16 (compare Eze 14:14).

“If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.”Proverbs 9:12.

“We must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”2 Corinthians 5:10.

“And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.”Job 19:4.

“But every one shall die for his own iniquity: Every man that eateth the sour grape, [it is] his teeth [that] shall be set on edge.”Jeremiah 31:30.

“For every man shall bear his own burden . . Be not deceived; God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”Galatians 6:5, 7.

So then, it is clear from Scripture that man does not inherit sin from his father, either through biological transmission (heredity) or through day-by-day circumstances (environment).

Are we then saying that man can obey God without help from Christ? No, we are not. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”Acts 4:12.

Before the Fall, man could obey without divine grace; since the Fall, he must have divine help. But that post-Fall weakness is not sin. You do not have sin until you choose to sin. And, by submission to Christ and faith in Him, you can be empowered to choose not to sin and remain faithful to your Lord.

        NO!
It is not clear at all, my father loved women —-But I am not punished for my father’s sins only my own.

Both my father and I inherited Adams carnal human nature, we both are pulled about by the lust of this flesh whether it is sex, money, fame, etc it is the carnal nature that come with flesh.

Every human is born with carnal human nature, every sin a man does is laid upon HIS own head, it is not passed down: . Yes what someone does can harm me but he is the one that did the sin not me.

I hope this causes you to rethink this.

When God states sin passes to the 3rd and 4th generation, it is not God doing the passing it is the results of that sin that is carried forth and effect the next generations.

If a man beats his wife most likely his sons will as well as they learned it from their father.

Man’s fallen carnal nature is NOT the same thing as the RCC’s doctrine of original sin.

An infant is not a sinner, it is not born a sinner because of Adam. It is however born with mankind’s fallen nature.Without God’s grace and the guidance of the Holy Spirit he will growup to sin.

Yehoshua declares that children are innocent__unless you become like one of these little ones

Paul, though saying that it is the faith of the parents that saves their child, as though being innocent from the get go wasn’t enough.

“For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were constituted sinners,” Rom 5:19

Paul, so you are saying that those innocent children were also constituted ?

I am not sure where you are reading that the faith of the parents save their child. I do not see that in the scriptures. And, if you look at the entire subject of Romans 5 it is clear that Paul is discussing how sin entered into the world, and was therefore defined by the law of Moses, and that all men (women) sinned, but now through the one man, Jesus, all have the free gift of righteousness available through reconciliation to God. And, verse 13 makes it clear that sin is not imputed where the is not law.

Rom. 5:12-13, ” because of this, even as through one man the sin did enter into the world, and through the sin the death; and thus to all men the death did pass through, for that all did sin; 13 for till law sin was in the world: and sin is not reckoned when there is not law;”.

Children are not accountable to the law, even in secular courts. They are not mature enough to be able to distinguish truth from false, and some times right from wrong. They remain innocent until they can understand and become accountable.

What is it that you have against Paul?
