The laying on of hands, is it a requirement for salvation?

                                  The laying on of hands

The Father’s  Holy Spirit comes to a person by the laying on of hands.

Blessings come by the laying on of hands.

Positions of authority come by the laying on of hands.

Healing comes by the laying on of hands.

Demons are cast out by the laying on of hands

Hebrews 6

1  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

FACT:  The “laying on of hands” is a foundational doctrine of Jesus Christ.

Genesis  48: 14

14 And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid [it] upon Ephraim’s head, who [was] the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh [was] the firstborn.

Deuteronomy 34: 8, 9

8  And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping [and] mourning for Moses were ended.

9  And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

Numbers  27: 22, 23

22  And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:

23  And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded — by the hand of Moses.

Matthew 3: 16, 17

16  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Symbolically the dove’s two wings denote/represent the hands of God the Father. Christ must be the first in all things thus He must have hands laid upon Him before they would be laid upon the 120 First Fruits at that first Feast of Pentecost.  

17  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is – my - beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Act 2: 1 – 4

1  And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

2  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3  And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

Our God is a Flame of Fire and the divided tongues of fire were symbolically the Hands of the Father being laid upon the 120 First Fruits of God.  Our Father began HIS Ecclesia on the Feast of First Fruits and as there was not one man on earth with the Father’s Spirit in them to perform the laying on of hands.   Our Father laid His own hands of the very first 120 members of the Body of Jesus Christ.

From that Feast of First Fruits the Father’s Holy Spirit has been given to us all by an unbroken chain of hands beginning with the Father’s hands to the Apostles then to elders and then to the elder of God’s Church that laid hands upon you.

Thus — God the Father has, through the Apostles and then through the elders, laid His hands on YOU.

4  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost (#4151), and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit (#4151) gave them utterance.

Mark 6: 5

5  And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed [them].

Luke 4:  40, 41

40  Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

41  And devils also came out of many, crying out, and saying, Thou art Christ the Son of God. And he rebuking [them] suffered them not to speak: for they knew that he was Christ.

The Power of God’s Spirit works by and through the laying of the hands of those that have – in them – God the Father’s  Holy Spirit.

Luke 13:  12, 13

12  And when Jesus saw her, he called [her to him], and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

13  And he laid [his] hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.

Acts 6:  5, 6

5  And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a proselyte of Antioch:

6  Whom they set before the apostles: and when they had prayed, they laid [their] hands on them.

Acts 8: 14 – 19

14  Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

15  Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit Ghost:

16  (For as yet he  was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. )

17  Then laid they [their] hands on them,–  and (then) they received the Holy Spirit Ghost.

18  And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost spirit was given, he offered them money,

19  Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, — he may receive the Holy  Spirit Ghost.

Acts 13: 2, 3

2  As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

3  And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid [their] hands on them, they sent [them] away.

Acts 19: 6

5  When they heard [this], they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

6  And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

7  And all the men were about twelve.

Acts 28: 8

8  And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.

1 Timothy 1: 6, 7

6  Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, —  which is in thee—- by the putting on of my hands.

7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Paul laid his hands on Timothy and Timothy received the Holy Spirit of the Father.

FACT: the Holy Spirit of the Father is put into a person by the Laying on of the Hands of a man  that has that ONE Spirit in them.
