Commentary On Self-Defining Hebrew: “To Continue To Satisfy and To Fear” (Genesis 2:14)*

As I have previously explained on numerous occasions, the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” symbolizes the ‘fallen’, dualistic, “beast of the sea” consciousness of the “self” which originates in desire and fear; desire and fear being the origin of the ‘movement’ of self-reflection (and, in the Eastern esoteric tradition, these two emotions are typically described as the origin of illusion), which is referred to in Chapter 12, verse 9 of the Revelation of John as “the great dragon, the primeval serpent, known as the devil or Satan, who had deceived all the world…”

According to Self-Defining Hebrew, on the other hand, the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil” is not associated with desire and fear, but is referred to by the phrase “to continue to satisfy and to fear.” (See Chapter 2, verse 14 of Genesis and Chapter 1, verse 14 of [link no longer active—Ed.]:

the word “satisfy” signifying, more accurately than the word “desire” (“These words will remain secret and sealed until the time of the End”—Chapter 12, verse 9 of the Book of Daniel), an absolute correspondence between image and reality—or, more accurately, the substitution of a “self”-generated image for reality—which results in the experience of pleasure.

In other words, this one brief translation by Self-Defining Hebrew clearly suggests the basis for the widespread and reflex-rejection of Revealed Truth (for example, that “the resurrection” is a Doctrine of ‘Rebirth’):

Specifically, that people reject Revealed Truth because they are thoroughly and pleasurably satisfied with their current ‘understanding of the Truth’ (despite, incredibly!!, the loss of lives which results directly from that ‘understanding’); an ‘understanding’ that is pleasurable because it consists of the substitution of a tenaciously held image, an image originating in, and directly tied to the preservation of the ‘fallen’ consciousness of the “self” itself, for reality.

At the same time, however, the phrase “to continue to…fear” clearly expresses the parallel function of fear in perpetuating the dualistic, ‘fallen’ consciousness of the “self”; something which, of course, is of immediate relevance with regards to the universal and unceasing efforts of the “dragon”-media to fear-monger an unstinting and universal support for a ‘war on terror’.

In other words, one of the principal functions of the “dragon”-media on this planet is the mass-seduction and entrapment of the people of this civilization into either ‘satisfaction’ or “fear”; thereby determinedly preventing any widespread realization of the non-dualistic dimension of consciousness which exists beyond the consciousness of the “self” and the ‘thinker’ (being very careful, of course, not to provide any information which, in any way, suggests that they should not be thoroughly ‘satisfied’ with their present ‘understanding of Truth’); while, at the same time, perpetuating an unrelenting fear with which, over a period of several years, the civilization on this planet has now, apparently, become quite ‘comfortable’.

[Oh, by the way, according to Self-Defining Hebrew, to the best of my recollection, the Hebrew glyph which is translated as “rib” in Genesis 2:21, signifies more accurately, ‘curved’; echoing the ‘curved’ ‘spatiality’ of the consciousness of the “self”.]
