Be of a Faithful Spirit

Howdy Everyone!

The heat is turning up in spiritual warfare.

Take comfort in knowing that, as difficulties increase, our time is growing short!

During these trying times I would remind everyone that the enemy’s greatest weapon is sowing discord among brothers and sisters.

Proverbs 26:20-22 “Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; so is a contentious man to kindle strife. The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.”

Remember, if we have an issue with a brother or sister we are to take it to that person first. Then, if they don’t receive your words, bring it to them again with two or three witnesses. The epistles refer to talebearing as backbiting, so spreading bad reputation about a person behind their back to others.

Proverbs 11:13 “A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.”

Is the Word telling us not to warn our family of potential dangers? Not at all! However we need to remember that venting our feathers being ruffled to others, rather than confronting the ruffler can indeed bring strife and contention in among the bretren.

Stand firm! Join hands with each other and form a barrier against the fiery darts of the enemy!
