I Am Strong, but I Am Tired

Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel like “throwing in the towel” and giving up? I’ve had quite a few of those lately. Working in Christian ministry can be very overwhelming, and very discouraging at times. Jesus Himself said it would be this way.

In John, Chapter 16, Jesus explained to His disciples, “They shall put you out of the synagogues; yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor Me.”

Indeed. After 20 years of working in full time ministry with Wisconsin Christian News, I am, indeed “put out of the synogogues,” or in our case, the churches. After 20 years of perseverence and struggles and working extremely hard and extremely long hours day after day, in an effort to get God’s Word and TRUTH out to the world, I have merely a handful of pastors that will even speak to me. Most despise what we do, because our newspaper is not “politically correct.” They say I’m “too harsh,” “too judgmental,” and not “loving” as I seek to provide information, education and inspiration in regard to all the things that are going on in this world, that I believe true Christ-followers MUST KNOW about. And I encourage believers to be salt and light, ENGAGED in the spiritual battle that is ravaging our nation and our world; whereas the Modern American “churches” DIScourage people from “rocking the boat,” and ENcourage them to just quietly attend services every week.

Over the past year, especially, we have lost a substantial amount of financial support. Even those I thought I would be able to count on have dropped out, leaving a serious shortfall in our needed budget to continue this work. They, too, say the information we provide is “too harsh.”

But you see, it’s NOT that we are “too harsh,” it’s that the enemy of our souls, Satan, has increased his influence in every area of society and culture. There are SO MANY THINGS going on in the world today — things that we NEVER thought we would ever see taking place. It’s not that we are “too harsh,” it’s just that we are standing firm on the Word of God, continuing to speak the TRUTH of Scripture, rather than bow the knee to the winds of societal change.

The WORLD is growing darker and more evil. We have, today, “legalized” so-called sodomite “marriage.” We have men dressed as perverted women holding “Drag Queen Story Times” in public libraries, holding and fondling little children on their laps as they read books to them about how wonderful it is to be homosexual or “transgender.” We have politicians and Hollywood actors and wealthy businessmen raping and sodomizing little children — indeed, TRAFFICKING little children — and getting away with it.

The LGBTQP+ steam roller is now pushing for everyone to be “open, accepting and affirming” of pedophilia. They’re not even trying to hide their original agenda anymore.

We continue to accept the act of child murder through so-called “legalized” abortion — now right up to the time of birth. Many are pushing for POST-birth “abortion.” In other words, INFANTICIDE. They want to make THAT “legal” now, too. I dare say, it won’t be long before our country embraces this as well. Can you even IMAGINE how those on the Left, who are pushing for this legalized infanticide would react if it were even SUGGESTED that this be done to puppies?! Yet they continue to chant, “my body, my choice.” What about the bodies and souls of those precious babies, knit together in their mothers’ wombs by God Almighty Himself? What about THEM?

We also have 11 states now, where marijuana has been legalized for recreational use. Everywhere this has been tried, there has been an increase in unemployment, homelessness and traffic deaths. Meanwhile, Big Pharma continues to push mind-altering drugs for huge profits… and more and more, these drugs are being force-fed to children and teenagers. Not to mention the elderly — again, the most vulnerable among us; and the parents of children and the caregivers of the elderly simply go along with the doctors’ advice, administering more and more drugs… as the populace descends into a “comfortably numb” oblivion.

In our public schools, the children are being indoctrinated with all manner of evil thoughts, sexual deviance, and dis-information. They’re being taught to be “good little socialists,” hating America as they are brainwashed with a false version of re-written history. Indeed, the Public Education System in America is now cranking out graduates that cannot read, think for themselves or present any coherent argument for what they claim to believe — but they ARE more than capable of hatred for all who hold a differing viewpoint. They cannot explain their hatred. They just hate.

There is so much anger, hatred and division going on that one can hardly keep up with it all. Those on the Left continue to foment hatred for our president, regardless of the fact that what they are accusing HIM of, are the very crimes THEY THEMSELVES have committed. And our so-called “news media” is actively working to program the minds of the masses to accept all this propaganda as “truth.”

Meanwhile, our pastors refuse to speak on any of these topics. Our churches are ordaining open and active sodomites as “pastors,” conducting sodomite so-called “weddings,” aligning themselves — as professing CHRISTIAN churches — with Islam, stating we all worship the same god. NO. We do NOT.

So friends, it’s not that Wisconsin Christian News is so harsh and judgmental. It’s that the world is growing more and more dark and demonic every single day. We are just reporting on it — providing the news and information that the mainstream media would have you remain ignorant of… we are working HARD to INFORM people of WHAT IS GOING ON! And moreover, we are working hard to push back against the forces of darkness, to EXPOSE them, and to get pew-warming church-goers to WAKE UP and get engaged in this spiritual battle, while there is still time.

But lately, I’m not sure there IS still time. We have been targeted in recent months by muslims who have discovered our newspaper in the public places we distribute it, and some have now made it their life’s goal to visit ALL of our public news rack outlets, and complain to store managers to get our paper thrown out…. even places that have been distribution points for us for YEARS. One Muslim woman, who holds “meet your Muslim neighbor” events in public libraries, actually holds up a copy of our newspaper as an example of “hate speech” at her meetings.

And more and more people are becoming FILLED with hatred. For no particular reason, other than they are influenced by the brainwashing and indoctrination of the Left. AND, they want to be “left alone” to enjoy their sinful, carnal lifestyles without being reminded of right and wrong…. not just “Millennials” anymore either — people of ALL ages are now believing the lies. And these “haters” are the first to call US — CHRISTIANS — “hateful bigots,” “homophobes,” “xenophobes,” and worse… MUCH worse.

Friends that I have worked with in street ministry were recently physically attacked in a small town in North Carolina. One man had his jaw dislocated, while another was nearly run over by a van. All of this was captured on video, and the police told them they had a solid case of assault and battery, as well as assault with a deadly weapon — AND also a “hate” crime… but the prosecutor threw the case out of court, stating my friends DESERVED what they got. Why? Because the attackers were OFFENDED by the Gospel message my friends were proclaiming.

More and more people are hating God, because of the indoctrination, because of the brainwashing. And because they hate God, they also hate Christians who actively REPRESENT God — the REAL GOD, and His Son, Jesus Christ. In America today, you can talk about “spirituality” all you want. You can talk about Islam all you want. But mention the name of “Jesus” and in many cases, you are, quite literally, risking your life. I’m not kidding. I could give MANY MORE instances of such discrimination by the legal system against Christians. I could give MANY MORE instances where the police looked the other way as God-haters physically attacked Christians in public places. I could give MANY MORE instances of where all manner of foul-mouthed speech, child abuse and violence was welcomed and allowed…but the name of Jesus was NOT.

Just this past month, we had two of our newspaper racks stolen from public places, and in another place we had all of our newspapers ripped up and left in the rack, in shreds.

Friends, those who hate God are growing in number… while those willing to stand up for Jesus and God’s Word are retreating to the safety of silence. (I call it “the SIN of silence”). But as Christians retreat, evil advances. One need only look around to KNOW that what I’m telling you is true. Christians HAVE retreated. Evil IS advancing. As Scripture says, the love of many has grown cold. People are heartless, evil, mean-spirited and filled with hatred, and they’re encouraged and emboldened now — by law enforcement and the legal system — to attack and do violence to Christians who have the courage to speak out, to seek to restrain evil, to awaken the drugged, mind-numbed consciences of so many who are lost in sin, depravity, carnality …and apathy.

Today’s so-called “churches” have become mere “satanic social clubs,” preaching a “different gospel.” A politically-correct “gospel.” They have their “form of religion,” but they deny the power, and the AUTHORITY, and the commandments of God. They deny the truth, so as to blend in with the whims of popular culture. “Chameleon Christians in the Closet.” But my friends, GOD DOES NOT CHANGE. His Word does not change. As true Christ-followers, we must persevere, and not grow weary in well-doing. Jesus said that in this world we would have tribulation. But He also said that we should be of “good cheer,” for He has overcome the world.

Indeed, He has. And I would LIKE to be of “good cheer.” But my question is, why are there SO MANY pastors, church leaders and entire congregations and denominations that proclaim Jesus as Savior, yet deny Him as LORD? Why are there so many professing Christians who, instead of overcoming the world — with the power and might of the Holy Spirit they SHOULD have inside them — choosing instead to blend in with the world, and all it’s carnality and sin? These are not Christians at all.

One such person emailed me last week, calling me all manner of wicked and derogatory names. This man claimed to have been a “Christian” for 30 years and he rejoiced that many years ago, he LEFT the restrictive, condemning, bigoted “fundamentalism” of Christianity, and discovered … the ELCA… he LOVES his ELCA so-called “church.” There, he is free to fornicate, to commit sodomy, to murder preborn children, to use foul language, to marry and divorce and marry and divorce again… even to divorce a woman and marry a man if he chooses. Because, he informed me, “Jesus loves me, just the way I am.”

I don’t know, friends…. I’m TRYING to persevere. I am TRYING to stand strong in the face of unspeakable discouragement, physical attacks, (yes, I’ve been physically attacked by God-haters and professing “Christians” myself as well), not to mention those who had been formerly rock-solid Bible-believing Christ-followers falling away, no longer supporting us financially, in prayer or even in THEORY — because now, they have fallen away into one of those “other gospels.” I get more than my share of “hate mail.” I make certain I put on the full armor of God every day, and I am (quite literally) praying without ceasing. Because I grieve for what is coming upon the world now.

I do not HATE anyone. I am NOT a “bigot.” I simply hold fast to the TRUTH of the Word of God and I proclaim it — in the midst of a world that now HATES to be held accountable to truth. Secular humanism and moral relativism have replaced absolute truth. As Scripture says, “Truth has fallen in the streets.”

I grieve for the lost souls. But I also grieve for those who HAVE heard the truth, who once studied and KNEW the truth… but now, it seems, they just don’t care. They enjoy carnal, worldly “worship-tainment” at their local “God-Mart” but they are biblically illiterate. They don’t open their Bibles and they don’t want to. If they have any exposure to Scripture at all, it’s on their Smart Phone, which just the night before was into porn.

I’m not asking for sympathy, and I’m not feeling sorry for myself. I’m feeling sorry for those who have rejected God and His Word and His absolute truth and His perfect design for mankind. At this point in my life, I am ready to die for my Savior, and fully expect that that will, indeed, be the way I enter eternity. Because time is short.  It HAS to be. Our heavenlly Father is patient and longsuffering, not willing that any should perish in their sins, but He is also a God of righteousness and judgment — and yes, wrath. So I WILL stand strong, as long as the Lord allows me to continue this ministry. But it gets very lonely, and I AM strong… but I am also very TIRED. I take heart, though, in the words of James 1:12, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.”
